DAF CF85 510hp Truck Review

It has surely taken a while, but DAF finally appears to have done everything right in development of a model specifically for the Australian market.
And that truck is the versatile DAFCF85 with the top 510hp version of Paccar’s MX-13 engine.

Daf is a great brand. Sinds they return on the australian market a lot of operators now have Daf,s in their fleets. 510 hp is now the most powerfull engine option. So they need a few more horses under the cab too compare with the other big euro brands.

I don't get why the Australian market is still served with the older model daf trucks. The European market has had a new CF, XF, and LF for several years now. A way better looking and more modern truck. Have things changed since this video was published?

good video, I drive this same truck but in the twin steer chassy the 12 spd auto box is horrid though, other then that its a nice truck to drive

Not driven it but the new auto box is getting nearly as good as Volvo ishift. And totally agree with you about the older 12spd auto it's crap

Beautiful truck in everything but made big blunder in design of passenger side window which only half can be down and on corners almost permanently fixed which can not move down and in raining ypu can not see anything from Passenger side mirror..only have to use one mirror (driver side) to see backside specially if reversing A-Double then its like hell job cos can not use left side side cos of window glass blunder by company

Daf is a nightmare, shit trucks hard to find parts, need specialist Machacnic, hard to find problems and fix 1 problem next day is another problem comes. Everyday problems. I lost 50k aud buying this truck and now giving to wracker.
