Oh. I think I mentioned this under my other account that got killed by KZbin (don't make titles to troll the QAnon people as youtube will ultimately think you're serious and kill your account), but my favorite Daf Yomi class was when a very young and sheltered rabbi from a yeshiva in Israel was visiting and given the chance to teach Daf Yomi as part of his training. Watching his pale face get redder and redder was a very delightful time. I probablyshouldn't have done the Homer Simpson "woohoo" at the Rabbi Yochanan part.

We have to compose a list of all the censored stuff. What else is allowed and we didn't know?

Sorry, I listened to Hamilton too many times... Beruria was saying to Rabbi Yossi: TALK LESS, SMILE MORE.

Hmmm.... I'm autistic+ADHD. I'm hypermobile and have fibromyalgia and sleep apnea. What did my parents do‽

Absolutely nothing wrong.

In the case of ADHD, they studied Talmud and wished that they could get a kid who would really understand the ways that the sages thought. :)

You should write a book, ‘The Scriptures - The TikTok version’ 🤣 I guess it would break a few laws but would be a great and hilarious read

I’m pretty sure I shall eventually write this 😂

The easiest way to make sure everyone reads something is to try and tell them not to!

How wonderful. Nicely done. As for Beruriah, she is the case in point about adultery is she not? What couples will do to win an argument. But; please; some perspective about folk "wisdom" 1800 years old. I assume (with the associated risk) that you take aim at the barely learned Yeshiva Boker who takes a literalist view of everything CHAZAL say. For that, KOL HA KAVOD. I have experienced this many times especially with matters astronomical (where many Yeshivites believe the earth is flat given some allegorical phrases in PESACHIM). Just saying.

I do not believe that Beruriah slander!!! And yes, you are right about people with a literalist view!

The real horror is possibly having to wade through pop culture content I know little about and am less interested in order to unearth what these four are. But, seriously, I thought communication was key and talking stoked the fires 🔥...I've lost my train of thought just now.

😂sorry, sometimes pop culture helps me remember what I’m learning - hence I use it as a “translation” method!

So much sex advice from men without porn! They just had some great imaginations I guess.

Wait wait wait, hold up.... I had to google Watermelon Sugar to know what its about, but the first Yochanan said not to give a woman an orgasm but it says that a husband must satisfy his wife...clearly he doesn't know the Talmud (or more likely how to give a woman an orgasm) and more to the point if he's scared of women that much....does he really "like" them? Anyway.
@MiriamAnzovin Жыл бұрын
Ah this is particularly referring to oral sex, I think off brand Yochanan thinks penetrative sex is the only way that’s kosher (he’s wrong)
