"Sectonia is a Rip-Off of Magalor" No she isn't I know she's a 3-Phased final boss with an unexpected 3rd phase. But that's where the similarities end -Phase 1 is a head-on battle -Phase 2 has her attacking you with flower buds you need to destroy. And you are approaching her -Phase 3 is a Hypernova duel with a proper finisher I do agree recycling 2 bosses but harder is really friggin' stupid. Especially in this day and age. Remembe Orrochi?

As if any person who isn't really a fan of Kirby games is gonna even bother reading the pause menu descriptions of the final bosses in these Kirby games. Hell, I didn't even know those descriptions actually held pretty interesting backstories and info on the bosses themselves until LITTERALLY A FEW YEARS LATER. And about Orrochi, at least the fight with Orrochi was kind of interesting and unique, even if the battle was ruined as it was reused 3 times. Where as the fight with Susie and Mecha Knight were... quite honestly lame. Okay, scratch that. MECHA KNIGHT was lame. Susie was kind of unique, but I still wish there was a bit more to her.

Sectonia actually has an interesting backstory, same with Haltmann. Also HAL includes a lot of new characters too like Haltmann, Taranza, etc..I guess it takes being a huge fan to really appreciate the games.

Yeah but to defawfulizer’s defense, it’s not like the Kirby games put main focus on the backstories, as you only see them in the pause menu on their boss fights, which is a bit of a disappointment. And this is coming from a huge Kirby fan ^^’

I've got to respectfully disagree with you on the triple deluxe and planet robobot endings. I do think they have similarities to the Magalor fight but they also do enough different to make them stand on their own. Plus, it would be kind of weird if one game had a super epic finale and the next one was very simple. I don't think the ending to triple deluxe or planet robobot were as good as the return to dreamland ending but for me they are pretty close. I do see where you're coming from and respect your opinion. Good video!

The quality gap between the Comrade Black fights is frankly insane. The first one is a supremely frustrating fight that hinges on undoing your hard work unceremoniously several times, whilst the second one is a proper culmination of De Blob's mechanics and also has an extremely satisfying finale. I guess they learned how to make a good boss with how De Blob works between games.

10: Yeah, i agree that the final of Lego Dimensions had some wasted potential, but still, good final level. 9. I won't fight since this is your opinion, but i personally love the final bosses of triple deluxe and robobot. Even tough both main villeins come right out of nowhere, they both have some of the best backstories in Kirby. Yes, in robobot, do do fight mecha knight and Haltmann fights almost like Susie, but mecha knight fights differently since he has a huge sword and in phase 2, he transforms into a mother&^%$ing scorpion! Plus Haltmann, even though his robot looks the same as Susie, he fights much more aggressively, has 4 phases, and different attacks, on of which where he literally makes it rain! The star dream boss is also a very epic final boss, and no, even though he is reveled to be Nova, it's not the same one you killed in superstar ultra, in kirby lore, it is said to be that there are multiple Novas living throughout the universe. The only thing i don't like about his final form is that you are on a time limit before he does an unavoidable insta-kill, and i hate time limits. 8. Yeah, i can agree that the final level of Dream Team is very boring. The only thing going for it was the fight with giant Bowser, which i also beat on hard mode, which took me so many tries to do! And every time i died to him, even if he is at his final form, i have to do the whole fight all over again, plus the longest unskipable cutscreen in the game every time! It's too bad the bosses after that felt anti-climatic, one being was too short, and the other being very easy while having an attack that only pads out the fight. Also, even tough the final level in paper Jam is also boring, it's a shame you did not finish it, cause it has on of the most epic final bosses i had faced in a mario game! 7: Never knew this game existed, but still, it's an example on how not to make a final in a game: 1. the final mission should not be too easy for the player 2. the ending must fit the mood of the game. If a game is light-hearted, a depressing moment should not come out of nowhere, otherwise it will have zero impact other then to confuse the player. 3. DO NOT lie to the player that there is a true ending! If you do, the player will try to work hard for a better reward just for nothing! 6. This ending was already infimious, so i won't say anything more since i did not play this game. 5. I personally thought the final boss of De blob was decent enough but i understand why some people hated it, especially the ink screwing over some players hard, and the time limit. 4. I still don't understand why Japan gets the better version of the Black Jewel while we get the most boring version! Especially when this chore of a fight has to come after such an epic fight with captain skull! 3. This boss is almost like you eating such a good steak until some big fat slob shows up, punches you in the stomach, takes your steak, pees on it, sets it on fire, throws it in the ground, curb stomping on it, and shoves it in your mouth! 2. no comment, i already stated my opinion. 1. Remember what i said about rule 3? This is the police shatters this rule so hard that it cripples the game along with it! It should be called "this is the pointless adventure!" It could be summed up with Willy Wonka's "You get nothing!" memes!

Bendy and the Ink Machine is a good game and the concept of the final fight is pretty good but the fight itself is pretty mediocre. You basically pull a bunch of levers in the final phase while avoiding Bendy's predictable attack pattern of running into walls. In the second phase, while the atmosphere is better, all you do is ram Bendy into four pillars, then put in the reel and end the fight. The rest of the game is pretty good but the ending is kinda meh. I just hope they improve the finale in Dark Revival.

I honestly liked Dream Team's finale, even though it was a bit slow-paced at times. Partners in Time had, in my opinion, the wost finale in the series. The battles in Shroob Castle are extremely repetitive and the level just wasn't that memorable. At least the final bosses were great.

Spyro enter the dragonfly, the final (and only) boss is ripto, a rehashed villain from spyro 2. he fires magic at you that is actually nearly impossible to avoid. If he manages to hit you he can stunlock you, killing you without a chance to recover. when you die, the only things that reset are spyro's position and the healthbar for the current phase of ripto (there are 3, ive only seen 1). Not health pickups, not ripto's position, not even projectiles. On top of this, the game goes black to hide the fact that he's doing this and he is still fucking moving and attacking and can damage you while you cant see jack shit. and to add insult to injury, theres a chance that you can kill him in less than 30 fucking seconds by latching onto his hitbox as he moves, meaning the fight is either super easy or bullshit, with no inbetween.

Nah nah nah, the worst finale in all video game history is Skylanders. Allow me to explain. So, after 5 games of the series, the main villain getting stronger and stronger as he goes. In the fifth game, he manages to finally conquer a large portion of the world and has built up a massive, almost impenetrable fortress. He even has the culmination of all evil in the universe on his team, the darkness. In an epic fight as you drive through a wormhole, you manage to take down the darkness. And then, in a huge finale to the fifth game, you take down the villain. However, it's not without cost. You barely manage to escape the crumbling fortress, but with the help of the villains henchman, who has always been disrespected and treated poorly by the villain. He redeems himself in a heroic action, sacrificing his life to save your's. And this seems like a finale. A massive fight against not only the villain, but also literally all evil ever to exist jammed into one all powerful being. And you also lost a beloved character of the series. But then, a sixth installment was made. The ending however, absolutely anti-climactic. Sure, the villain got a coop make over, but it doesn't help how easy and poor the final fight was. Nothing was ever concluded, either. Sure, you managed to take down the villain, but you did exactly that in all the other games, except for the fifth. In that one, he seems completely defeated as all his power his completely drained and everything he worked so hard for crumbled. It was so climactic and perfect. If only it had ended on the fifth rather than having forced out a sixth, it would have been a perfect series. And this is why, Skylanders had the most dissapointing and missed opportunity of a finale ever.

Ah yes, the nightmare that is the Meat Circus. My problem with the level was created by two main factors. 1: The platforming is hard and Olly is difficult to protect as a result, though I don’t think he annoys me as much as other people. 2: For some reason, in my experience, the big rail grinding section is broken and will, without fail, cause me to fall THROUGH the rail instead of landing on it at least twice. The bosses are kinda hard but such a welcome change of pace and sign that I’m getting closer to the end that I really don’t care. Raz’s sudden desire to become a ghost is what really frustrates me.

the funny thing is that robobot actually got me into the kirbyseries(i played a game before that and liked it,but didnt plan on playing any kirbygame after).later i played tripledeluxe and...ok,to be fair it was only ok.then i played return to dreamland and i honestly couldnt stand it.however,i kinda lost interest in the games as well since star allies dropped the ball pretty hard for me,but i still wont loose hope yet as the final is a treasure room of lore,so the series could recover

I just wanted to make a statement on Weapon Shop de Omasse after checking through it....there really IS no way to get a better ending. I actually checked through the files, and there's ONLY one type of ending music for the ending and credits, plus a bonus mode where the master's corpse is just hanging there. So yeah, not only is it unchangeable, but even the extra parts of the game AND the code already confirm it.

Okay, yeah, it could be seen as a sign of laziness, but you never actually fought NOVA in Super Star. And seeing all these weird attacks like compasses or weather vanes or whatever was pretty awesome.

I know this video’s old, and that it’s YOUR opinion and I will respect it and will not outright bash it. HOWEVER, number 9 is fundementally flawed. Kirby lore is nothing like Mario lore, as Kirby himself is basically a reincarnated version of a god, and there’s overall a ton of lore surrounding Triple Deluxe, Planet Robobot, and the characters in them. Sectonia’s lore is literally the fact that she’s Taranza’s old friend before getting manipulated by DMK (a character FROM TAM). The Sectonia fight is almost NOTHING like Magalor’s, the only similarity is that it’s head on and your on a physical ground. Even then, are you just actively ignoring phase 3 of her fight? For Robobot, the first two phases are just taken from earlier fights, but Star Dream’s fight is original, and maybe if you directly fought Nova in Super Star I would understand, but you ONLY fought his heart, and you do fight SD’s heart later on, but that’s on a fight from the Arena. They might not be something completely original, but i wouldn’t really say it’s copy and pasting from anything. The naming scheme also DIDN’T originally come from RTDL, it’s been around since Adventure.

I don't really see how Sectonia is a clone of Magolor. I don't remember the former putting up a barrier that you need a giant sword to break through. Granted, she still isn't quite as epic, but... Well, that aside, let's talk about Dark Souls. SPOILERS, of course. If I were making this list, I think Dark Souls would at least get an honorable mention. Sure it is one of the most influential games of the XBOX 360 era, I still stand by that. But the final stretch areas could get kinda frustrating. In particular, Lost Izalith. That area wasn't thought through very well, possibly due to the development of Dark Souls becoming strained towards the end. The biggest issue by far is one of the worst difficulty spikes in gaming history, all thanks to the Bed of Chaos. Holy shit, that thing was absolute trash! And it's sad because it had an interesting backstory, being the evolved form of a legendary pyromancer who tried to preserve a magic flame only to create a hellfire that would lead to the creation of demons. It's unfortunate that it culminated in a monster that could kill quickly you by pushing you into holes in the decaying floor which you had to jump across to get to a barrier generator, before jumping onto a vine that was easy to fall off of in order to get to its core and kill it in a single slash! It manages to be both a boring fight and a bullshit encounter at the same time! And no, the rest of the area isn't much better. The lava is inconsequential if you have a certain item equipped, though it may not be enough when fighting half-formed dinosaurs while walking through it, and then there's this yellow demon that wreaks havoc on your equipment with acid. The area right before it, Demon Ruins, is also a pain in the ass for being filled with reskins and another awful boss fight with an arena filled with lava. And how bout the actual ending? Eh, it's alright I guess. There isn't much to the final area and Gwyn himself can be pretty easy if you're good at parrying. At least the lore is consistently intriguing, so I can't fault it for that. But in terms of design, the last few dungeons are a huge disappointment. You could argue that Bloodborne also had some lackluster boss fights in the endgame too, but they weren't near as frustrating as The Bed of Chaos and the normal final boss fight against Gehrman more than made up for it. The Moon Presence wasn't all that bad either.

Honestly I didn't think the ending to Number 1 was that bad... as long as you forget your choices are supposed to matter. It doesn't even correctly do the 'Illusion of Choice' that Telltale games were renowned for, it just obviously railroads you regardless of whatever you decide and pretends it was just your choice. It wouldn't even be so bad if you still got fired regardless or anything: if the small decisions and choices racked up and influenced the ending enough that there would be a noticeably better ending, though the main ending would be somewhat the same, it wouldn't be the best thing ever but it'd be serviceable. I can kinda sympathise with number 9 but the final bosses actually do have some really cool plot elements in my opinion. Taranza and Sectonia where actually really good friends at one point. But then Taranza gave her the mirror from Kirby and the amazing mirror and after Sectonia looks into it she slowly turns into the evil form you see her as in the game. Using her power she then brainwashes Taranza and makes him her servant. His brainwash is seemingly lifted at the end of the game when Sectonia blasts him away for losing to Kirby. Now I do still think I prefer actually talking to Magalor in Returns and getting to know him only for him to betray you but I don't think it's as huge of a downgrade as you make it sound personally. Also the Haltman Headquarters was built for the sole purpose of creating a new Nova so President Haltman could wish his daughter back to him. Overall though you still have a really good argument and I do think that Hal shouldn't just lean heavily on nostalgia unless it's warranted like in the Metroid games for ex. However I still think it's a very great and constructive video with some strong arguments (especially for num 8)!

The worst finales I've seen were in Tales of Symphonia Dawn of the new world because the final boss Ratatosk is way too easy and I didn't care about the ending because I already hate that game from beginning to end, Fire Emblem Awakening because the ending where Robin finishes Grima Robin fades away which makes no since because Grima's from the future and not the past and Chrom says Robin will survive if their bonds were strong even though Naga didn't say shit about that, Super Mario Galaxy 2 because the final boss second phase is way too easy, Persona Q because the last few floors of Clock tower are way too hard to get through and there's that annoying spider boss and lets not forget about that terrible ending where they still kind of remember the events even worse the producer Katsura Hashino said the game is cannon and I'm like "HOW THE FUCK IS THIS GAME CANNON!" and lets not forget Jak and Daxter because after getting all one hundred one power cells I got NOTHING! Nothing but one of the worst endings in gaming! and finally Superdimension Neptune vs. Sega Hard girls where the fuckin' Nepbike is still there in the true ending and it only goes away in the bad ending and NEPBIKE TO ME IS THE WORST FUCKIN' CHARACTER EVER! IT WAS CREATED AND EXISTS FOR NO FUCKIN' REASON!

One finale I have mixed opinions on is Mario & Luigi Paper Jam. Cause I do like the game but I'll admit it had some flaws and the final area was one of them as it was basically the regular Bowser Castle, and Paper Bowser's Castle areas we've seen before numerous times fused together plus was pretty lengthy and not in the right way. However it does redeem itself in the fact the 2-phase final battle against Bowser and Paper Bowser was pretty awesome as the 1st phase of the battle was a 3v2 battle and it's pretty challenging in the fair way as Bowser and Paper Bowser have their own team-up attacks that aren't to hard to dodge and guard against but if you miss the prompts you're taking a good bit of damage, and then after getting through that we have a awesome, and epic final phase where it's a basically an epic mecha battle aka Mario and Luigi utilizing Paper Mario who has transformed into a giant mecha form, to take on Bowser who is utilizing Paper Bowser who has turned into his own giant mecha form, and to add to the awesome epicness of the final giant mecha showdown the final boss theme transforms from standard Mario & Luigi boss theme to a boss theme I would hear in one of the good final boss fights from one of the Kingdom Hearts games.

For me the whole experience of the final level in dream team was just meh with the highlight for me being the boss with Antasma and the true final boss was way easier than antasma because of a small exploit. On the other hand Bowser's inside story final level was PERFECT.

I'd like to offer my own entry. Spyro: Year of the Dragon. Now, the original Spyro trilogy has a consistent issue with sticking the landing at the end. In Spyro 1, the levels in Gnorc Gnexus are half good and half bad. Gnorc Cove feels way too drawn-out, and Gnasty Gnorc carries the issue of the bosses of Spyro 1 being pathetic, but Twilight Harbor is fair and challenging, while Gnasty's Loot is such a satisfying final level. In Spyro 2, the levels in Winter Tundra kick ass, and Ripto is such an amazing final boss, but it feels like you aren't given a proper send-off with Dragon Shores. It's such a mindless level, and while the Permanent Superflame is a nice 100% reward, it has about as much utility as Super Mario 64's Enhanced Triple Jump unless you decide to play New Game+. As for Year of the Dragon, Midnight Mountain also carries a half good; half bad stigma, with Desert Ruins and Crystal Islands being good levels, while Haunted Tomb and Dino Mines are a little bit boosh. The Sorceress is also a better boss than Gnasty Gnorc, but nowhere near as good as Ripto. As for the side content, Harbor Speedway is fun, Bugbot Factory is by far the easiest of the Sparx levels, for better or for worse, and getting your Gems back from Moneybags is really satisfying. However, what knocks Year of the Dragon's finale down into being bad for me is its bonus level and ending. Dragon Shores may be a bad bonus level, but the rest of Winter Tundra made up for it in spades, and while Gnorc Gnexus was a mixed bag, Gnasty's Loot was a fantastic way to end the game on. Midnight Mountain was also a mixed bag, so you'd think its final level would also be satisfying, right? _Wrong._ Super Bonus Round starts off promising with you chasing some Thieves around, but then it takes a nosedive by copying Lost Fleet, which is by far the worst level in the game. First, there's submarine shooting, which isn't exactly frustrating, but it gets kinda tedious in spite of how short it is. Following that, though. Is the ever-dreaded skateboarding race. It's not exactly _as_ bad as Lost Fleet's skateboarding race, but the skateboarding controls in Year of the Dragon are _SO_ janky, and having to race with them absolutely sucks. Not to mention, there's Gems on the racetrack, so you have to balance janky racing with Gem collecting. After that, there's shooting down sheep in flying saucers with a Superfly/Superflame combo powerup, which is fine enough, and after all of that mixed baggage in Super Bonus Round, you end with a rematch with the Sorceress. And this rematch is even _more_ piss-easy than Gnasty Gnorc. The fact that Super Bonus Round is about as mixed as the rest of Midnight Mountain with an extremely disappointing way to end it off is bad enough, but then you get to the ending. In Reignited, you get a montage of the Dragons fawning over the newborn Baby Dragons, and it's honestly pretty cute. I'd say it _kinda_ keeps Year of the Dragon Reignited aloft, but the original's ending is class-act stupid. It shows Spyro returning to the Dragon Realms with the last two Baby Dragons, a Dragon Elder clapping, picking up one of them, and said Baby Dragon burping twice, which causes Spyro to shake his head in disappointment. ...Really? _That's_ how you're gonna end what I consider the most frustrating of the three games?

While I do agree on the repeating boss part for KPR The Boss fight afterward was amazing imo. And Believe me if you though KPR was fanservice overload Star Allies times that fanservice by 5 PS: This is addressed in KRtD Star Dream isn't Nova. I know it's been done to death but I'm going to give my two cents on the Kirby rep for this list. In terms of bosses, I find Magolor to be slightly worse than Sectonia and Star Dream. However, I find RTDL did a much better job leading to the final boss, and not just because Sectonia and Haltmann only make their appearances at the end. With RTDL, you got to go through a shmup section and fight a boss in said section before taking out Magolor. Before taking out the final bosses in TD and PR, you just fight more bosses. And while I enjoyed Masked Dedede (at this point HAL weren't hammering Masked Dedede and his theme into your skull), Haltmann's just an okay battle and Mecha Knight+ shouldn't have even been there. As for the Star Dream Nova part, yeah, it was pretty cheap to put that there, but I'd be lying if I said it didn't catch me off guard. And at the very least the fight used attacks based off him, even more so in the True Arena so it's not just the appearance thrown in. I also don't think it's the same Nova from Milky Way Wishes, even if the colours are identical to it in the True Arena. In conclusion, I like the final bosses in the 3DS titles more than Magolor, but it doesn't have as good as a build up as RTDL did. oh and if you haven't played Star Allies yet you're honestly not missing out
