Sad part is that the perverted nature doesn't stop there, with multiple instances of kotoko showing her underwear and both her and komaru getting stripped down at one point. The series has always had a perverted side to it, but it feels especially bad when the story involves direct sexual abuse of children.

I do agree that Kotoko’s mini game was unnecessary and exploitative, but in context to the story, the scenario makes sense. Kotoko hates adults because of how her father took away her innocence at such a young age, so putting her victims in that torture machine was probably her way of forcing them to experience the same torment that she had to endure. It probably would’ve been better if Kotoko implied to Komaru what the machine actually did, and then Komaru would be busy trying to dodge the arms offscreen while Toko’s half of the level plays out.

Cure Hana Yeah, and I know this first hand. This is due to when my cousin came over to my house, I just so happened to be on chapter three. And we played the chapter together, when that mini game came around...both of us agreed that game shouldn’t have existed.

@@remysbff Basically... (disturbing stuff below) Kotoko has Komaru attached to a machine that has many robotic hands. These hands will attempt to grope Komaru, and you have to fend them off when they come near her. It's a... very off minigame I wish I hadn't found out was in the game, especially since losing results in Komaru... enjoying it in the end somehow. I get the reason of *why* she'd put Komaru through it, and one could argue the reason *we're* put through it was to also make us just as uncomfortable and be forced to face what happened to Kotoko, but more likely they're just trying to see what they can get away with in terms of... that.

About ultra despair girls, I kinda disagree with you about Komaru. I mean, she's the only ACTUAL female protagonist, but she's pretty bitchy. Whining a lot, acting really stereotypical shy chicky, that stuff. It's all fine, and I want to also mention you forgot about the defeat scenes during the boss battles, where the Warrior of Hope dies and does... I don't know what the hell happens but it's pretty satisfying to watch, and I wish you spoke about it.

I feel pretty similarly about Super Paper Mario. Many of the aspects are great, such as the story, but the gameplay just doesn't do it for me. It plays like a sub-par 2D platformer. To this day, I still don't understand why they wanted to get rid of the combat system from the first 2 Paper Mario games. TTYD easily had my favorite combat system from any RPG.

I was playing no more heroes 3 and when I finished it I thought of this vid. When I was in combat the game is so much fun but it’s hard to ignore the empty overworld, and the tediousness of getting money especially towards the end and the feeling of getting cheated out of boss fights which is the best part of these games. That’s said the writing and combat are fantastic and funny all the way through. Most of the sound track is full of amazing music. So I really like this game but I wish some of the things were fixed and it would have been game of the year for me.

Seriously, these where 2 of the 3 main reasons I stopped playing this game completly. And any time I try to talk with someone about this game who liked it and I bring these problems up, they seem to have no idea what I'm talking about... really? That is such a terrible flawed design. Heck, as far as I remember, you can't even look up how much money you allready have earned. Will never understand how this game became so popular. Hidden gem my ass.

I love playing Cuphead, which I picked up on the Switch recently. What I hate about it is how you have to go through so much trial and error just to defeat a boss or get through a run & gun stage. It's not a bad game by any means, it's just one of those games where you have to play by its rules. But it does get under your skin just a tad...😁

Super Paper Mario, yes I admit is when Paper Mario went wrong, but I still find that despite the control differences, it still has a better story and villains that Superstar Saga, Paper Mario and The Thousand Year Door, and Mario and Luigi Bowser's Inside Story, of which I found the remakes side story to be better than the main one. If Super Paper Mario did get remade, then I'd love to see if they kept the same format, but added the RPG element for battling, like with The Thousand Year Door. I don't know how they would use the other main characters but that is something else in its own right.

That commentary on UDG is enough proof that Spike Chunsoft should just stick to visual novels that require strategy. They proved they suck at shooters with this game and proved even MORE why they should just stick to visual novels when they released Jump Force months after this video, a game INCREDIBLY infamous for getting a huge hype train as the Smash Bros of Anime, only to come out and have hilariously cheap looking cutscenes (I'm looking at you Frieza), a mediocre story mode, extremely clunky and illogical fight mechanics, a PATCHED- you heard that right -PATCHED REMATCH BUTTON. You know, when they released Danganronpa V3 for the PS4 on DAY ONE, I honestly thought they used the still character style again as a charming visual style, but after seeing Jump Force AND OPM A Hero Nobody Knows for that matter (If you forgot about that game I don't blame you but the cutscenes look PAINFULLY one note and scripted and the story is the entirety of Season 1 with you character shoehorned in with no changes whatsoever. It makes Tom and Jerry X Willy Wonka look like GoldenEye 007 for the N64 in comparison. Trust me, THAT game is very good.) I'm starting to think that THAT is the best visual quality they can possibly muster. By the way, I've been watching your stuff since 2019 and you always give off this aura of shock, panic and hidden anger when expressing your feelings about antagonistic characters that are good at their job. Your Evil Heroes and Sympathetic Villains list is my personal favorite due to the shocked and panicked tones you had when talking about Jack which felt even more chilling in the second half due to the choice of background music. I also love how great you are at expressing extreme frustation at bad game design like when you discussed Bruno Fidele and every Meat Circus rant released AFTER 2016. The aura you bring to these lists is just AMAZING and I can't wait to see your next Top 10 list.

I agree on super paper Mario, buuuut it would kinda ruin dimentio and he is by far one of the best Mario villains, and that’s only cuz it would butcher his dimension flipping thing, maby the 3D boss fight combat could be removed for everyone other then dimentio and dimentio could have one that dose both, dimentio attacks in 2/3d and you have to dodge in 2/3d as well but you can only fight him via RPG system, think hero from smash bros ultimate

14:09 Okamiden, the sequel to Okami. - Cursed zones are now FAR LESS panic inducing, instead of being viable hazards that drain and petrify life, they act as invisible walls, which is just ass backwards. - Everything Okamiden teaches you for advanced art brush techniques is learned in the first town you come back to, localized entirely in a shop. - Bottomless pits in normal Okami used to be actual hazards, now they are just like cursed zones: Invisible walls. I would rather look at the discolored mesmerizing purple than an endless void of black for those pits, but they didn't do that. What's the point of having cursed zones be invisible walls if pits are also invisible walls? That just means the developers created TWO types of filler. - The only really fun weapon is the elemental crystals, as they have a rock paper scissors elemental system when launched at an enemy, it's too bad that for a ranged weapon, it doesn't track onto your enemies that well. - Night time and daytime have been removed outside of story elements. You can no longer use the sunrise brush stroke or moon brushstroke outside of story purposes and the last boss. - The game is linear, so linear that the sidequests are unrewarding. - If you told me years back this was the sequel to Okami? I would of been in denial and shock, but looking at it, having done a full playthrough 3 times, I can honestly say that all I feel for Okamiden is disgust... Genuine, actual, disgust....

Personally if I was in charge of some major decisions at Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft I'd be like: "Hey, Clover studios, how about we give your original staff a huge amount of money and funding to revive the studios development, and we make your new sequel to Okami and Okamiden multi platform. You are very good at story telling and we feel personally you shouldn't be limited by one set of hardware." - - Too bad that some of these comapnies are investing in NFTs. I think a sequel to okami and okamiden would of been nice.

Sure it's cool that rare is doing stuff again, but it obviously isn't the same team that made the games everyone remembers.

@@Dafawfulizer Understandable. Cursed zones kinda fascinated me. You can't escape easily from them as they curse the water they're in, and offer much more than just area denial. That's one thing that stood out to me in Okami: The game was huge. The cursed zones also were a viable threat. They offered denial to areas without acting as invisible walls, you would sometimes not even be able to cure cursed zones via cherry blossoms as they could be caused by other factors: such as the town of Ryoshima Coast. An place with impenetrable security but the town has the emperor going through an illness, and that illness creates the cursed zone. If you dip your toes into the water of the canals? Yeeeah you're kinda screwed, can't make a lily pad and jumping is nerfed. It's a game mechanic I wish more games dared to do. Cause until the town of Ryoshima I didn't really have to watch where I stepped: The towns water canals were the HUGEST threat outside of combat. I'm sure you'd agree.
