2:05 Oh Boy, this was a long comment to type but I will say this. But for everyone and Paper Mario fans even Dafawfulizer I'll respect your opinion on not liking or being mixed on Paper Mario The Origami King besides we all have different tastes in video games and that it's best to respect other people's opinions too we are all entitled to have opinions on video games, negative or positive. I'm not a fan of Modern Paper Mario, I'm not a fan of Old Paper Mario. I'm a fan of Paper Mario as a series. Now I never grew up with the last two Paper Mario games but I did play Super Paper Mario as a kid which was my first introduction to Paper Mario getting me hooked on the series/franchise and I'm glad to play it on my Nintendo Wii so many great memories playing it. I would say this I really enjoy and love playing Paper Mario Sticker Star and Color Splash and I'm happy to give these two games a chance because of trying new things in the Paper Mario series/franchise sure I understand why OG Paper Mario fans want to go back to the original battle system and story heck I play Paper Mario 64 on the Wii U Virtual Console great game and a perfect way to start a spinoff/franchise but if you continue doing the same battle system and story it will get boring in my opinion. I think Paper Mario Sticker Star and Color Splash version of EXP It’s more so a feeling of progression and self-growth more than lack of EXP. While yes Sticker Star and Color Splash lack EXP, it still has Mario grow by getting more HP Hearts, Coins, Secret Doors, and Extra Book Pages to store more stickers and for Color Splash it's the Mini Hammers to upgrade your Paint Storage and you get more powerful battle cards as you go on with the story even getting an HP Heart at the end of the Chapter/Big Paint Star which I thought was pretty cool and unique in my opinion. Now Paper Mario The Origami King version of EXP is confetti to fill your confetti bag to patch the Not-Bottomless Holes which is like Color Splash colorless spots which is pretty good, coins to buy badges/accessories and better weapons to help you in combat you can even use coins to spend on the battle timer to gain more time also you can use coins to call in Toads to cheer/help you in battle, exploring the world to find hidden secrets and toads, HP Hearts to make Mario stronger and many more that I won't spoil for everyone. I myself really enjoy the self-growth and progression EXP a lot in The Origami King and the battles are super fun and great even the bosses battle are super unique, creative, and challenging and I love it a lot in my opinion. I enjoy and love every partner in Paper Mario from Goombario, Kooper, Bombette, Parakarry, Lady Bow, Watt, Sushie, Lakilester, Tippi, The Pixls, Kersti, Huey, and finally Olivia each having unique and cute personalities to them. (I would be happy to say the other partners' names In Origami King but that would be spoiling Paper Mario The Origami King sorry everyone) The partners in Paper Mario The Origami King are so fun and watching them act/fight in combat are so great to see and sometimes it's best and learned to say goodbye to the partners we made on our journey/adventure but the memories we made with them are worth remembering. I'm not a big fan of post-game stuff in video games but I can understand that for people who like doing post-game stuff and I'm fine with Paper Mario The Origami King showing you a secret cutscene at the end and mention your 100% achievement also giving you a gold star in your profile pretty good way to end a great game in my opinion. Of course, not all the Paper Mario games weren't perfect, nothing is perfect, but all of them were still fun and exciting also cool to play all the way through. I don't mind people calling Paper Mario The Origami King "Sticker Star 3" or "Color Splash 2" because I really had a great and fun time playing Sticker Star and Color Splash from beginning to end. I'm super glad to finally play Paper Mario The Origami King on my Nintendo Switch super great game from beginning to end also 100% it too anyway my rating for Paper Mario The Origami King is a 9/10 from adding so many new things, fun and great battles/boss battles, puzzles, and creative bosses even the story is great and I would highly recommend this to fans of Paper Mario Sticker Star and Paper Mario Color Splash in my humble opinion. I'm really glad to play Super Paper Mario, Paper Mario 64, Paper Mario Sticker Star, Paper Mario Color Splash, and now finally Paper Mario The Origami King, and I would be happy to put Paper Mario The Origami King on my top 10 games of 2020. I'm not interested in getting Bug Fables because that's not my cup of tea sorry everyone again. At the end of the day, we can all agreed that Paper Mario is a great and fun series/franchise that everyone can enjoy old and new that's the true magic of Mario games anyway peace everyone.

I am thinking about picking it up, and I get how stupid the ruleset for the development was (and even the devs hated it), but I won’t let it ruin my potential experience for it. Bug Fables would be something to scratch that 64/ttyd itch for older fans.

To Dafawfulizer. To fuel your craving for bad endings in paper mario, there are about a bunch of bad endings in the game. - getting one hit KO'd by the second penultimate boss - taking the wrong path in the Shangri Spa area - being a cheapskate in a shop in one of the shops in the Desert Area - not helping Origami Bowser in fighting the final boss in some sort of wrestling arena

I've always loved hearing other people's opinions on games that I love and seeing what their side of the story is. I've been playing through Yakuza 0 myself (haven't beaten the final boss yet, no spoilers on the final chapter if you could), but on my thoughts of the two main characters... When I first started the game, I had the same mindset as you, I thought Kiryu's story was so much more interesting than Majima's and it was all about just getting back to Kiryu. But then, come closer to the end of the game, it switched for me. I wanted to just get through Kiryu's parts so I could see Majima's story. I eventually got invested more with Majima than Kiryu mainly because Majima is more of a flawed character than Kiryu is. Kiryu is the good boy standard anime protagonist while Majima feels like a more realistic person with his own flaws and his own self thoughts that prevent him from being what he fully can be, that is of course until he meets Makoto, who pushes him to be the beast we see him become. I love Yakuza 0, and while I haven't beaten the final chapter yet, I can tell that I'm going to love the entirety of the final bit of the story and everything the game has to offer. Alright, I'm done rambling, sorry for the long comment.

All I'm going to say about the final chapter is make sure you have a lot of time set aside. The segment after the last save point lasts 3-4 hours.

Also, just gonna throw out that I've been enjoying a lot of the recent stuff you've been doing. Really good quality stuff you bring, especially the fact that you cover a lot of smaller games that not a lot of other reviewers will cover.

You can play darkest dungeon now a dark game for your 3rd countdown, its not out front dark like the binding of issac or Lisa the painful, but every thing else is a nightmarish spectacle, nerve racking gameplay, brutal difficulty, tense mechanics, gruesome visuals, even the mods fit it better within the universe of darkest dungeon better than the binding of Isaac, and the story is madness, literally, more complex than the binding of Isaac, this game mix’s rage games, horror games, rpgs, and management games in this beautifully dark package, it’s a chaotic game but in another way of interpreting the butterfly effect, during the chaos around you, there is beauty in the center of it.

There is no padding what you see is what you get, unlike the binding of Isaac and Lisa the painful, darkest dungeon is a special kind of brutal, binding of of Isaac is a religious Zelda bullet hell, Lisa the painful is a uncanny mother apocalyptic hell, darkest dungeon is a sadistic final fantasy literal hell.

I played Yakuza 0 and had the exact same opinion on the story ( kiryu's story being more interesting then majima's), but it also commits the cardinal sin of having minigames be mandatory to complete certain sub stories. These reasons are why I prefer Kiwami as those two problems are non-existent in that game. I personally think that putting Origami king in the same league as sticker star and color splash is unfair. It's clearly not on the same level as thousand year door but it's not what they were going for and that's fine by me. Origami king is kind of a middle ground between them, but I won't try to change your mind.

I know your not into shooters but I highly recommend the entire doom series and I mean the entire series doom 1 + Bonus Episode,2 + Master Levels,Final,64 + Lost Levels,3 + Ressurection Of Evil + Lost Mission Modern Versions,2016 and Eternal. All of them are great games that I highly recommend they are pure fun and even if you dont like shooters these are games that make the shooting fun somehow it's strange why the games are great. I suggest starting with the first game to the last but if you wanna skip through 1,64,3 and its DLC and 2016 are the best ones to start with. All the games cept for eternal are really cheap sorry for the long comment but yeah it's something I highly recommend. Wolfenstein series is good too but it depends on what era there is the super old stealth games castle and beyond castle,the doom like shooter 3d,the epic game similar to 3 called return to castle,the 2009 game which is similar to prey 2006,the bethesda reboot quadrilogy new order,old blood,new colossus and youngblood. Each era is different in style and gameplay that's why I mark them differently. I think doom would be a better series though highly recommend just checking out the first game at least

@Dafawfulizer, I played the Wii version and it’s honestly pretty good (at least for its time), I didn’t encounter any glitch and I liked the gameplay and story. I thought that the “unplayable” part was just an exaggeration on how bad you thought it was, so thanks for clearing that out. PS: It’s also the first Rockstar game I completed

I debated getting Origami King when it first came out, but I went and bought Dragon Quest XI instead. I’d say is was a damn good trade-off. 😅😊
