What people forget is Daft Punk had many critics in the early 2000’s. Critics who thought they were washed up and their best days were behind them. Then Alive 2007 happened. Daft Punk showed they not only had that original flame of brilliance, but they could remix it into a damn God-Ray. In the following years they would collaborate or be featured in worldwide hit songs constantly. Their influence in music grew ten-fold. Then as if the critics weren’t BTFO hard enough, RAM was released, earning the Grammy for best album. Not just best Dance/Electronic album.... best fucking Album. Lol

John Russel Tatel exactly. Specifically LED lights, which at that time wasn't as mass produced as it is today. They were also one of the first DJs to have that kind of stage setup in a show/festival with huge LED displays and light shows, and every DJ since then has followed (just look up any festival show in the 2010s and you'll know what I mean). Goes to show how talented and innovative they are and massive their influence is

By pure luck I got to see their show at Coachella in 2006. It was really an out of world experience. From the moment the first notes of Close Encounters hit I knew it was going to be a wild show. Then the pyramid started to light up and then the Robots came out. I had been a fan since Homework and it was hitting me fast that I was seeing these amazing artists in the States. Every year around Coachella time I'm reminded of that show and experience. The whole weekend was nuts. I traveled by myself and technically saw all of the sets by myself. I had never been to California in my adult life (was 20 at the time) and that weekend was one for the books. Keep in mind this was when Coachella was only one weekend and not as glamorized as it is now. Everyone I interacted with was super chill and friendly. I took a cat nap under a tent one afternoon and woke to the sounds of Matisyahu and was followed by Kanye West, I got a CD signed by Imogen Heap and took a pic with her, saw the legends Depeche Mode, Madonna, Carl Cox, Paul Oakenfold, Tool, and a bunch of up and coming bands. I walked down the Palm Desert highway in the middle of the night because the people I was staying with refused to let me drive the car to get food. Met someone on that highway that apparently just got out of jail. Made it to Carl's JR and had a mini feast. Incredible time that I'll never forget!

DJ’s today Mix one song, add some effects here and there and transition to another after the first drop, repeat for an hour or two, maybe occasionally mash up two wav’s or play a unreleased song or live tool every now and then. Daft Punk Use their songs and mash up their stems and change their sounds a lot into something you'd never hear on the actual songs and play live tools often, all done throughout the whole concert live instead of done every now and then. This is why I believe Daft Punk do the greatest mixes out there.

This song celebrates humanity. We have seen all around the world, and make our ingenuity work harder so we can make it better and do it faster. Everything we create makes us stronger.

I think its cool how they design each of their track so that they can mix and remix easily with other tracks in their albums. They all have similar BPMs and the notes/chord progression are pretty much the same, but the effectiveness of the song is still there.

The only live show i've seen of them and immidiatly the only one where literally everyone from the main hall till the stalls outside where their music could reach was all dancing. Daft Punk was magical, this concert has allways been magical, and I sure as hell never forget to play it at least a few times a year. This song alone.... The amount of dancing and screaming people will never leave my sights. Thanks Daft Punk.... I'll miss u guys

Since I was way young, people called me "One More Time" - I did not hide it, my love for these two beautiful French geniuses. My god, if this is not amazing I seriously do not know what is.
