You have to play the arpeggiator throughout though, no copying pasting on that track😃 Although I dont like that sound, I would replace it with a more synthy punchy arpeggiator that repeats itself here and there.

Oh yes! It's interesting to see how much salvaging can be done / is done. Friends tell me that it is a big factor how much work the mixer / editor has to do in the end - it depends on the artist, if they get it right in studio or need much post work. :)

You know, some people have a gift, you have multiple: top musician, entertainer, you have a very contagious enthusiasm and you always make lots of people happy. Thank you, Claudio, for doiing that! You have mentioned it through several videos, we can make requests, how about Terminator theme? The original track composed by Brad Fiedel of this blockbuster is already more than 30 years old, and had some sequels, but every time I listen to it I can almost taste the menacing and the tragic. I have an Arturia keyboard, and honesty I don’t know how they can afford to give away so many really great sounding synths with their keyboards. Customer service was also excellent.

34:00 yep so much quicker to punch-in a replacement than spending hours editing. Punch-ins seem to have become a "secret" but with analogue tape it was the preferred way to fix flubs. I think I might have "flown-in" a fix a couple of times but doing that with multitrack cassette was a big challenge! 😀

@@teoigi3247 It might not be the right thig trying to analyze the song, but beauty of simplicity and pristine production is a soul balm. There is something about it that makes me obsessed with the song too! Some kind of secret I will share with you though. If you're playing any music, there is a nice Daft Punk preset pack available in Arturia AnalogLab. No sounds for this specific song though. Maybe because all sounds here are "no special" bass, EP, guitar and such. And it takes a genius to make a hit with "just" best known ingredients! ... (pardon my daftpunkian accent :)

I really think the biggest flaw about competing DAWs is No One has as cool quantize functions as Cubase. Tried other DAWs and I always end up missing so much functionality from OverQuantize, Logical Editor and so. Cubase still is the king when it comes to midi features.

9:10 the Korg MS2000 (blue) has a really nice funky guitar emulation which can easily be tailored using the sequencer interface. We used it on a few records back in 2000. I haven't found such a preset on any other synth so far.
