That was the time when young people dressed beautifully , both , men and women . No vulgarity , no twerking . Real dancing talent . Self Respect .

Old people hated these dances too, stop romanticizing the past. Then people was racist then and they still are. If black people do it, they gon hate it. And until you post a *successful* twerk video worthy of professional accolades, it seems odd to suggest no skill is involved, or no "talent". Just cuz it's not YOUR preferred style, doesn't mean it has no talent involved. I'm not a ballerina, I don't watch ballet, I could live without it....BUT I still recognize it as a talent. Try less bigotry tomorrow, all it takes is letting people live their lives.

It's strange how a song from 2013 can align so well with a dance show from the 1970s. But I'm soooo glad it does! I can't get enough of this video. The dancers look like they're having so much fun. And those styles! Man!

This is PURE BRILLIANCE!!! *MILLION THUMBS UP* Also I simply can't take my eyes off the gorgeous clothes! People dressed so classy & elegant back in the 70's. The men looked smart, sharp dressed, smooth & stylish. The beauitufl ladies look so sophisticated, refined & very chic. The dancing is awesome & everyone is having a terrific time. No one is overweight either! WHAT happened!!??? PLEASE, please, please take me back to the 70's!

When I first saw Soul Train back in 1978 I wanted to be on that show so badly but I was way too young I was just a child but when I turned 16 I didn't want to be on Soul Train anymore cuz over the years it changed very much they had all kind of different races in Soul Train when Soul Train was discovered by Don Cornelius and it was only supposed to be for black people only and there music changed Don Cornelius wasn't host anymore when I got in my early teens it was some clown that was hosting the show so I thought to myself the hell with it but I always will love the 60s and the seventies Soul Train it'll always be my favorite dance TV show for black people I love singing black people dress back in the days because I can relate to that my father you should dress all his kids the same way that you see on Soul Train all the boys had a big afros and had bell bottom pants and shirt to match it in my sisters War dresses but they was in style so when I see you Soul Train it always takes me back when I was really young my father always bought Soul Train cosmetics he never went to a store import hair grease we use the Hairspray and damn did that stuff smell good it smells like coconut and some other stuff and I'm telling you that the Hairspray will make your hair grow so fast that you can't believe your eyes me and my brothers used to get haircuts every two months because that's how fast the Afro Sheen Hairspray in a Black Bottle would do to you it was very healthy what a scalp that's why me and my brothers never used Greece when we were growing up I don't care what anybody say black people had the best cold-blooded close in the United States back in them days white people wanted to be us so bad that it was driving them people crazy that's why they used to start a lot of crazy shit with us back in the 60s in the 70s
