2:41 Mirage 2000D (all-weather air-to-ground assault version) The yellow circle around the French roundels is a tribute to the British who had this circle around their roundel during the Second World War. This yellow border made its appearance on the french planes in 1942 (Free French fighter aircrafts in North Africa), and was finally adopted in 1945.

Its about time that Nations in Europe will create a new powerfull defense on Sea, Air and Land and standarize their equipment. That means for example the Dutch navy buys frigates type 26 or 31, and the brits order radar systems for their navy at Thales Netherlands. Germany orders army vehicles in France and the French buy German artillery and so on...The warfactories can stay in their own country then...everybody happy....just an idea😉

The Mirages demonstrate that in many ways the French made better use of the Fairey Delta project than our own government - having said that there are good reasons to believe the Anglo-French Concord project derived the snoop nose of Fairey Delta 2 to help improve visibility esp when landing. I don't know if the Fairey Delta performance data was used in design of the Concords delta wings but both ironically it is most liekly the French that had the most valuable data on this due to an agreement with Fairey and Dassault to share ttewsting data after our British government pretty much banned supersonic testing over British soil. It is nonetheless seeing the excellent use of the F. Delta testing data put to such good use as the French Mirage project benefited substantially from the collab. and it shows 😁

There was a Mirage that did the Cosford show around the millennium, the display was amazing. That show was a so special, possibly an anniversary one with Cosford not shining so bright since. 2:59, Just after this time stamp, there is a Mirage I think with colored tanks on it (green on the left and red on the right). That looks like the colors were mounted backwards from normal, because all the aircraft that have the navigation lights visible hav red on the left and green on the right. It’s aviation standard for the lights to be red left and green right. With the paint scheme mimicking the light scheme, it looks like someone made a mistake, unless there’s a reason I’m not aware of.
