Dahon JetStream P8. Frame Fail [webcam rip]

By the appearance of the bike, it is not hard to believe that you had been using it in rough condition, and as you described, the fracture appeared from the upper side of the frame of which is not usual for folding bike where the junction box mostly takes up all vertical stress at the lower part of the junction, if anything would have happened, it would be the lower part of the box. Also your main cause of death of the frame was the soldering of the front part of the junction box, that leads to another thought, how come the soldering fractured before the junction box? Something must have gone wrong before, cracks at soldering location can be fixed . Anyway, feel sorry for your loss.

For. How long have you had this bike? How did it break? Did the company backed their product?

did u use for jumping curbs? this is designed.for regular roads...the suspension just to soak up bumps..not for jumping at all.. also is made for small.asians..less.thej 80kg..

Using it hard offroad i bet. The suspention is anti rumble only

ну тут одно из двух, либо дефект рамы, либо всё же использование Jetstream в качестве MTB, коим он не является. В любом случае, на месте Dahon я бы поменял раму по гарантии, просто чтоб не портить репутацию фирмы

I recently just purchased a dahon boardwalk s 1 and as I was taking it out of the box unfolding it one of the hinges would not open and security lock up it turns out the hinge was miss align and wouldn't close shut, now I'm trying to refund my purchase as I'm speaking right now, piece of s*** Chinese bike. Good thing my bike baron cost $1,300 bucks like this guy over here
