he doesnt "just play" he practices for hours against different playstyles and chars all the time, inviting people over from foreign countries to practice against, like a professional boxer or soccer team. he is pro, on top of his skill he still had to strive for it, deserving of his title.

Out of all the Street Fighter Games, 3rd Strike is still the one that Baffles the Hell out of me when I watch hi-level matches. The Parrying is 100% Psychic. Its amazing how well people have mastered this game.

I don't play Street Fighter regularily at all (although I really like fighting games). But it's always so fascinating to see people at the best of their abillities, regarding what they are good at. Thanks for the show! :)

Daigo is a very good player. When he gets annoyed, he's unstoppable. His comboing and parrying skills are hilarious to watch. I bet the developers must be really impressed by his skills. He's also very unpredictable, he will use an attack stream as long as the opponent does not know how to handle/counter it. After that he just something completely different.

@ShinOnigashima Meh, I thought they were talking about the one around 1:30. :/ But no, it's still possible to cancel an LP SRK into super because there are frames where the enemy is still on the ground. It's not like cancelling Ryu's SRK into his Shinku Hadoken, because that super does not have a 1 frame start up. Ken's Super III does.
@ninjasification14 жыл бұрын
@blokeroy its like this- parry(by pressing "forward") then press "down," and then diagonal DF+punch(shoryuken), then do 1/4 circle+kick. this will give you the entire combo. Some people don't realize it's NOT like this- forward, zigzag+punch, 1/4 circle, 1/4 circle+punch. It's more like THIS- "forward(parry)then 1/4 circle+punch(shoryuken)then 1/4 circle+kick(super art) Daigo is really good but I know some people don't know exactly how it works

@ShinOnigashima lol umad? MK (which is not an MP, mind you) doesn't cancel into an HP. It cancels into any Shoryuken, which is what you see in the video.

The battery on the Cps3 security cartridge is suppost to die after a while, Rendering the board uplayable. Unless you get a new battery and someone to install it, you can't play it. Are these batteries easily accesible? Do many people install them?

at 1:02 I know for a fact that one is a parry but any attacks to Ken before that looked just like a regular block. Unless they have multiple animations for a parry and some don't reward Tech Bonus.

@blokeroy14 жыл бұрын
@maytinkerblast Because it's HARD to get to the level they're at. Take 5:59 as an example. Daigo parried an attack (which requires tenth-of-a-second timing, everyone has that), did a normal(one button press, basic), cancled into a Shoryuken (a zigzag on the joystick, BUT he had to do it in 1/30 OF A SECOND OR LESS), and then CANCLED THAT INTO A SHIPPU JINRAI KYAKU (he had to roll his joystick a quarter of a circle to the right TWICE IN LESS THAN 1/30 OF A SECOND!)! All that in 1 second! Insane!

All batteries die after awhile because it just runs out of juice. I don't know about how the CPS3 board is built, but the battery is likely to be the same that you find on PC motherboards; a quarter-sized lithium battery. Replacing them is about as easy as changing out AA's.

@dkblade27 Have you ever done that? I don't have a joystick, so the farthest I've gotten is 2 parrys followed by a super cancel. I bet you've never even done a kara SRK, much less canceled it...
@blokeroy14 жыл бұрын
@dkblade27 Sure, one parry is easy, but remember the time frame he had to do it in. I don't have a joystick, so I have to use a keyboard. The farthest I've ever gotten is 2 parrys followed by a super cancel, so no, that's not too hard, but remember the normal canceled into a kara SRK, and then that super canceled, AND the time frame Daigo had to execute all that in...
@SilverwingsX217 жыл бұрын

love me some 3S. I don't know if it was the extra frames of animation.... but why did they make SF4 so hard to buffer moves?? Links.. and just doing combos into super moves is like as hard as ST, Alpha, and CVS2... :(
@makenbboonrat734311 жыл бұрын
r u serious... SF4 is 1 of the easiest friendly game in the series... Old school is way harder.
@TristanIRL10 жыл бұрын
MAKenB Boonrat To be fair, while SF4 has lax inputs, there's strict timing involved in combos. But I think it's still harder (and more gratifying) to be good at 3S than SF4.
@ShinAkuma8 жыл бұрын
lol IDK what you're talking about, even doing 3 hit combos in ST was an accomplishment, Third strike juggles and those 1 hit hitconfirms are much much harder than anything, SF4 has been debated to have the easiest execution wise, currently SFV holds that title though.

@zippo718 "This isn't martial arts...It doesn't take long to learn a character inside and out" That quote totally applies to SF. In SSF4 there are 35 characters. That means there are 35 match ups per character you must learn to truly be competitive. Learning three characters means 105 total match ups. That is a lot of info. Learning match ups is a long, difficult process. Any time divided amongst multiple characters is time that could have been spent perfecting a single character.

@TokyoKing5 I think Parrying should stay in Third Strike. It's very cool, but it's super hard to do right. Focus Attacks are a nice, much easier, alternative.
