Unbelievable that someone could be such an accomplished sport climber and never be more than 60m off the ground. That is honestly really disappointing to hear but its cool to see she is pursuing bigger things in climbing.

It's simply a different approach: Mountaineer's goal is the summit, climber's goal is climbing. There is nothing disappointing about it. You could reverse your statement from the climber's view and say about a mountaineer: "Unbelievable that someone has been on 20 mountains above 7000m and never has climbed more than a 7c in his life. That is honestly really disppointing..." I guess this statement would be valid for the bigger part of the mountaineers. But is it really disppointing? I think no. Mountaineers simply have other skills and other challenges than climbers.

Basically that's a total unbelievable story. How is it possible that someone who climbs 5.14c (8c+, XI−/XI) has never done a longer climbing route?
