The aunt example is really interesting cause in English, there's a similar euphemism. It's more of a joke, but if a girl were on her period you could say her great aunt Flo came to visit (since Flo sounds like flow, i.e. menstrual flow)

Great topic, all the examples are highly useful and frequently heard. Very smooth explanation;-) Just an idea for a future topic could be explaining a popular song. 2 songs I used to listen to over and over are below 張震嶽 A-Yue - 愛的初體驗 王力宏 Leehom Wang - 龍的傳人

In Spanish we have lots of sayings involving Chinese people or China. For instance: 1. Esto es un cuento chino (lit. This is a Chinese fairytale). Used when something is hard to believe. 2. Me suena a chino (lit. This sounds like Chinese to me). When we can't understand what other people are saying because the topic is very complicated. 3. Esto es trabajo de chinos (lit. This is a Chinese people work). It is used when something (usually artistic or handicrafted) is very elaborate or has lots of details.

As a native speaker I just don''t realize how many of 那个 or metaphors I use just because it's a sensitive topic, one thing came at the top of my head was when Chinese want to refer to some serious sickness like cancer 癌症 people tend to just say 那个 and you really have to udnerstand the content to be able to understand what 那个was referring to. We are doing videos with Chinese and English subtitle and would love to get some support =) Thank you and good luck to all you Chinese learners.

I teach English on the mainland of China and I asked my students about chaofan as I saw this a few months ago on another video( I teach adults) and they had no idea what I was talking about so I guess chaofan only means to have sex in Taiwan. Now it’s a common joke in my class. Everytime I want to say have sex I say Chaofan. Always gets a laugh. I guess you could have also mentions eating someone’s Toufu and little brother and little sister.

Many phrases are specific only to Taiwan only or mainland China only, especially for informal slangs. Just like for "video", she said "yingpian", while in China it's "shipin".

Ya. I tried a lot of times that way. it is just different from the vowels but the consonants are the same. They are quite similar. Whether Vietnamese and Chinese have many common points in pronunciation.
