I have a quick question I thought you might know I was gonna start the stretch soon on my jeep two door JK and when I’m done I still want to have fenders does anyone you know of make a quarter panel that goes on that will except a fender. Or way of moving the tubular fenders that I bought back easily
@SoFloJeeping
@SoFloJeeping Жыл бұрын
I've seen a lot of people use front fenders backwards as rear fenders after stretch

Is the effort and money spent on the jump from 37-40s worth it. Meaning when you’re out there on the trails did it make a huge difference. Some people say 2drs don’t really need anything bigger than the 37. I know you have experience with both tires so I thought I’d ask??
@SoFloJeeping
@SoFloJeeping 2 жыл бұрын
Honestly in pure capability the jump up to 40s wasn't really worth it. What was worth it is the peace of mind of having tons under the jeep and once you have those might as well put the 40s on lol

@@SoFloJeeping very solid answer that helps a lot. I picked up a Rubicon transfer case a couple weeks ago and I’m gonna put that in and I’m going to look for a front Dana 44 after that get some 37‘s and probably call it quits. The stretch thing though does seem worth the effort

@@joerouth6255 the stretch is absolutely worth the effort. The stretch made my jeep 10x more capable than the 40s did

Nice Jeep, recently bought my 2018 wrangler sport s, has a cheapo 2.5 lift and 315/70r17's otherwise its stock, took it to Kansas Rock's to see what it couldn't do and was actually impressed, but I have a few mods in mind, have the 5 spd automatic but I'm looking forward to a regear, thinking 4.56, course I haven't heard much good about the Dana 30, my last 4×4 was a 78 3/4 ton square body 454 4 spd with Dana 60's and 5.13's,
@SoFloJeeping
@SoFloJeeping 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Stock jeeps are for more capable than people give them credit. With a regear and some c gussets the d30 will survive. You aren't running crazy big tires

@@SoFloJeeping 37's max someday, married and on a budget, saving for a lift, but the regear will be first

Do you remember about how much Karnage charged to do the rear stretch?
@SoFloJeeping
@SoFloJeeping 3 жыл бұрын
What I spent isn't really realistic because I had a lot of parts used and had some parts already but usually expect to be about 4-6k in after all said and done

Eventually ill probably build a 5.3 for it but for now the 3.6 does just fine. The 5.38s and 4:1 definitely help

Depends how much highway driving you do. If you do a lot 4.88s. If not 5.13s. I had 5.13s and I loved them but mileage sucked on the highway
