Guys - did you air down on the defender? And if you did, that's the reason you got the pinch flat. The lower profile tyres on the newer disco's and rangies shouldn't be aired down. Keep them at normal pressure as lowering them does not increase footprint at all and just increases the chance of a puncture, there's no point dropping pressure when the profile is low as you don't get any benefit and flats are common. Great video by the way!

Great video and very entertaining for sure . But pointless as no off road tyres on one vehicle and off road tyres on the others . What’s the point of that? Hundreds of LR videos out there with the defender in off road tyres. TFL is a well funded channel and should be comparing like for like. LR May, May, still be worst. But we won’t know. All we know is don’t go off road without off road tyres. Useful reminder but not informative

But they said in the video at 15:30 that the Defender's tires were the "off-road" option and the most aggressive ones offered by Land Rover or should I say Land Robbers hahaha! It seems their factory options are not up to par with the Jeep's or Bronco's. I think at this point, it is obvious that the Defender is not a true off-roader and it showed the direction that Land Rover chose to take the defender, that is the luxury SUV route, just like a Range Rover.

In the south most places to drive are wooded and a tight fit, visibility and maneuverability are king. Not to throw any shade to a Bronco but I have sat in one of those and the visibility and the sense of exactly where the vehicle was really seemed to be lacking. And the Jeep is also the easiest to modify with a lift and larger tires. That Bronco already has 35s and struggles a little to match the Jeep with relatively puny 32s or 33s. This is the most practical off-road test video I've come across to test the capability of a jeep and land rover. Must say I expected the disappointment with the land rover considering the company is focusing more on luxury+off-roading hence those tyre proportions and other compromises what the other two vehicles come with

Yeah the Land Rover sucks on these American Trails but if you take it on some grassy British kind of land with a little bit of axle twister here and there the traction control is pretty amazing. I just like the fact that the traction control does work so great when needed. I am biased though I own a Land Rover but it's an old school Discovery 2 with traction control that works great and solid axles with no sway bars so I kind of get the best of both worlds. I do like the concept of the traction control being aggressive because if all you have is an open diff or a locker it's kind of nice to have something to not have to use the locker because the locker can sometimes be necessary but also hinder steering. But if you have traction control that works really really well it's just automatically happens and then it's off and you don't even know it and there's no thinking about it. And the one on my old disco too is actually pretty reliable it always works great. I've seen other videos with the Bronco and it's pretty damn impressive because it handles better on the street than the Jeep yet it still has front and rear lockers with decent articulation for ifs and Towing more than the Jeep

@@DAREDEVIL-vk3vi Nathan didn’t try to drive over the same rock Tommy did, he took an easier line right away where Tommy tried to go the hard route, then backed up and went the easy way. Would’ve been interesting to see if the Jeep would’ve taken damage if he tried to go over that rock as well.

@@DAREDEVIL-vk3vi You do realize that every time they completed a course they literally mention how Tommy took the Bronco through harder and more complicated lines while the Wrangler took easier lines right ? The Bronco came out of all of this with a minor scrape, while having 2 passengers, a few luggage bags i see in the back and a freaking spare tire from a defender that failed. Not only was it WAY heavier because of all this, but it still managed to take the harder lines and not even sweat on it. Tell me how exactly did the Wrangler prove itself as king here if at all ?

@@killthahippie idk man I’ve always loved the 60s bronco and that’s what the new one looks like. The reason jeep is timeless is because it’s pretty much never changed.
