Hey guys I had been following your videos and channel for the last few months and I like them very much. I really enjoy your videos. I just purchase my new to me 2017 4runner TRD off-road and is full stock for the moment and I have a question. Did you have any issues after installing the lift kit and do the alignment? Did you have to perform a Zero Point Calibration? Thank you guys and please keep doing what you are doing because is awesome.

It is insane how much money these overland builds are. I feel like 90% of stuff can be done in a stock runner with all terrains. Then get a rtt, a battery system and a fridge. Gtg. Even even that is a good amount of cash.

I regards to the fire extinguisher in the back, were you able to use the this mount from H3R to mount to the Molle Panel in the rear or did you use another one (i.e. rago)? www.h3rperformance.com/p5081-nb300
@WanderlostOverland
@WanderlostOverland 3 жыл бұрын
We were able to use that mount. I don't believe we were able to put both bolts in each half through the small bolt holes in the rack. I think we bolted one through there and the other through a big hole backed up with a large fender washer.

Sharing an idea for your 4runner back area lighting. Check the Trailrecon youtube video kzbin.info/www/bejne/aWjVp3Zof9WLgJo - - - Marco's OverlandX Jeep back-hatch lighting for his kitchen area is really cool! Scroll to about 22:47mins mark in video for Marco's light setup. It's LED roll-lighting he found on eBay or Amazon?.... with some aluminum strip framing I think?

Do you have 70,000 miles on the ToyTec lift? Or have you replaced the shocks/springs in that time? If they’re the originals, are they still performing well after 70,000 of use?

If I get a trd pro and put on a lo pro front bumper like yours, some skid plates, and an ultraswing will I need to do anything to beef up the suspension or will it handle it fine stock? How about a TRD off road? I’m trying to figure which one to get and don’t want to have to spend another 5grand on suspension as soon as I buy it. Thanks love your videos!
@WanderlostOverland
@WanderlostOverland 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! You likely won't need a suspension upgrade immediately with the added weight, but you'll want heavier springs eventually. I believe the TRD Pro has slightly stiffer springs than the OffRoad stock.

Thanks for watching! For re-spooling on the trail we simply make sure the line in going in "back and forth". When we get back home we pull out the line, open the hood, take of the plastic panel in front of the radiator and look down at the spool.

Great video, I do like some of the items you have added. I want to set up a dual battery system like yours. I am sure you have done all the thinking you can on the roof top idea. After 6 years of using one on top of a rig we are moving it to a trailer mount. Always found once you are set up its more of a pain to tear down if want to travel.

That's why we're looking at a hardshell. They seem to be the quickest and less involved to set up.

Assume you do you own oil changes, have you done any modifications under there to make the process of changing oil easier/less messy?
@WanderlostOverland
@WanderlostOverland 4 жыл бұрын
The RCI engine skid plate has a removable plate right under the oil filter canister that makes it incredibly easier to get at it. It also has a hole to get at the oil plug.

Really a very good video generally covering your modifications. Do you have an idea as to how much weight you have added to your 4R?

Are you guys concerned about doing a body mount chop for larger tires? Great video!
@WanderlostOverland
@WanderlostOverland 4 жыл бұрын
Larger tires will definitely require a BMC. We've done it on our FJ Cruiser to fit its tires. The chop is very easily done.

I’ve been looking into switching to a DC to DC charger. Any issues with the underhood temps?
@WanderlostOverland
@WanderlostOverland 4 жыл бұрын
We too were concerned about the higher temps. That's one of the reasons we chose the Redarc. It's known for doing better then the CTek in that regard. We've had no issues at all with it under the hood, still going strong after a full year.

When you mounted the antenna for the CB and GMRS radios, do you worry about interference between the radios, wiring and antenna? I am running the same GMRS radio, upgraded antenna as you - looking to add CB but was thinking handheld because of concern for interference with two hard wired radios.
@WanderlostOverland
@WanderlostOverland 4 жыл бұрын
To be honest, we aren't very radio savvy. If it does cause any interference it's not noticeable at all.
