Actually your food can go bad even in the winter a refrigerator keeps your food at a constant temperature the outside temperature fluctuates and this can cause the food to spoil

It's sad to see a lot of empty boxes that are thrown in the dumpster instead of a recycling container. Plus the big waste of perfectly good food is very sad but benefits you and others who rescue it in time . I'm so glad you and others try to use what good food is discovered and donate the excess and compost what you can . You make the environment so much better! Thank you for all you do !💝

We are told in philly if a box is contaminated we can not recycle. Maybe it's true too in NJ? For example if a pizza box here has grease stains on it we can't recycle it.

You can in California put pizza boxes in our recycling bins. Companies in California have a bin for recycling and another for waste.

I'm in the Philly area too. Sadly most recycling is being dumped at the regular landfill. My brother has been a trash guy for the last 9 years. When the export laws changed (2017-2019) the US ran out of a market for the overwhelming majority of recycling. Brother said the trash company used to get paid for recycling at the dump center but after the laws changed, the trash company has to pay the dump to take the recycling like any other load. It sucks but recycling sure ain't the answer. But good on them that they do above and beyond their part!!

Before you store that flavored, sparkling water do consider tasting them first .... We bought a 6 pack each of 2 different flavors to taste before buying at thier most excellent price this past summer. In an emergency, they would have served as fluid but after tasting them, we understood why they made it to a discount grocery store at a most excellent price.

Daddy looked so comfortable sitting in the dumpster getting those drinks . Amy did daddy eat a pumpkin pie on the way home as when he was loading the car he showed 2 pies and I hope he didn't leave the bread in the car that he found. Hope you had a great Birthday and got spoilt by the girls.

What an interesting haul! I must confess though, my favorite part of the video was seeing two of your sweet kitties. And Pasha is my very favorite because its beautiful resemblance to some Siamese-mix cats I had long, long ago. They were very talkative, just like your Pasha. One lived to be 20 years old. I still miss them all.

How these stores can condone throwing all this food etc away and procecute anyone for stealing products from the store is beyond me. Because these stores are stealing from us, the public. In the UK it is classed as theft if you take anything from the skip. With regards it being safe to eat if it was it would be in the charity box which most Aldis have in store and donated to the local food bank ,if it is in the skip it's for a very good reason.

I had a little fun food Hunt myself today, I went to walmart. You see I never go to Walmart it's been ages. but there are a few things that I can't find at my other stores. I went early and had a great time. They had some things that were a deal and nobody has my diet sugar that I used to love but that's okay. They did have small coffee creamers and my Publix only has the giant drums where you need a man to pour it in your coffee! I had a lot of fun and I bought 60 eggs yes 60 eggs for $12. and I realized that they would have been over $25 at my Publix. So I'm set on eggs now I hope none of them are broken, I stressed about not dropping them going up my steps but they're in the fridge safely and I feel like a queen. I don't buy meat I rely on what I get at the food bank which is not the greatest. But I have to have my eggs :-)

What did that man say to FD?? Ha! Also, tell FD not to put the eggs upside down. They fall out easier. I’m glad he took the eggplants. I would have taken the bag of sugar or whatever it was. It just had a razor cut on it fr an employee cutting into the box too deep. Fun stuff!! 👍👍👏👏

I am shocked at all the waste, even eggs, all that fruit, there are people that are going hungry, why don't they have a bargain buggy? My husband and I go to the grocery store and the one we have has a bargain buggy we go through it and get damaged Goods there's nothing wrong with it. OMG I love Pasha! Is Pasha part Siamese by chance? My mom had a love for Siamese cats and they were the most vocal cats I have ever been around. Good job FD. He had to work for it but got some interesting items.

So how do you maintain proper prepper rotation of the emergency use stuff? Like the fizzy water even, do you keep track of its best by "dates" and try to consume them within, you know, a couple years or so? Or do they just stay put forever? Same with all your prepper pantry goods, do they get rotated back in to the dinner menu and replaced with a newer stash? I would want that to happen.. I mean you get updated dive supplies, wouldn't want the pepper stuff to be too many years past its dates... but that's a lot to manage too. Bubbly water, and just pop in general, tends to go a little skunky after some temperature cycling...I know worse in a garage then under a kid's bed but I also know some years u don't use much AC which might help it go skunky a bit faster. Just wondering...more so about the other canned goods then the fizzy water really...
