I love a short mane. It makes the horse's neck look so much better. Nice job! Also, will you be doing more DIY videos soon? I love watching those types of videos.

Nice job evening that out! Personally I love long natural manes and I don't ride English anymore so no trimming of any sort since I show in the ranch horse shows or cuttings if I do show, but straightening up an uneven mane to look fairly natural is definitely at skill and you did a very good job.

Nice job. I always taper it a bit shorter towards the poll, it really accents the neck and gives the illusion of more muscling.

Girl brush from the bottom up … causing a lot of tension and breakage when you brush from the top down without detangling first

People think I’m crazy when I tell them I can make a mane look hand pulled with a pair of scissors, until they see the results.

Why are you trimming the mane? The horse needs their mane for communication, insect control, thermoregulation, etc. What is more important, what you want, or what is in the best interests of the horse?
@ariannafolz3 жыл бұрын
Horses use their tail to control insects for one, and two having a thick long mane during hot summers is worse for horses because it makes the sweat more and can also get caught in things just like our hair can etc, and manes arent used for communication in the slightest btw, not to be rude at all im just stating a point
@gerrycoleman72903 жыл бұрын
@@ariannafolz Come on get real. The tail can not effect insects around the area of the mane. Manes are used for communication.......you need to educate yourself.

@@gerrycoleman7290 im not on here to be rude or start something but you need to get your facts straight gerry, thats why somone invented fly spray and please enlighten me how manes kill bugs, last time i checked a horse will just shoo them away with their muzzle, and also explain how a mane communicates, does your hair comunicate?
@gerrycoleman72903 жыл бұрын
@@ariannafolz When the mane is intact the area it covers prevents access to the skin by the large biting horse flies. How does a mane communicate? In a herd setting with two horses meeting, the bowed neck and flashy mane communicates strength and dominance. The horse's language is body language. Humans language is largely verbal. You get your facts straight.

@@gerrycoleman7290 mu facts are fine i get where your coming from, but that sounds like somthing wikipedia would say in my opinion, like yes horses bow and yeah a mane protects the neck but you know that insects crawl right? Whatever im done here i said my peace, if lisa wants to cut plezants mane she can and i think shes doing a fine thing since it was partially gone anyway
