Loving the content Wayne. My wife and her family are from Kanchanaburi, so was lovely to see all the the spots you have visited. May I say the respect you showed around the death railway vlog was really well done and emotional. Keep up the good work.

Nice routine and easy to settle there I am thinking BUT the temperature mate. That is a real problem especially the older we get. Chiang Mai still appeals for that reason alone as I am imagining without having been there that the climate whilst having baking hot days itself in the middle of the day would be more comfortable either very early in the morning or later in the day approaching sunset. Nice vid mate and sensing the end there is nigh, well for Kanchanaburi and the adventure there anyway. Take care and have fun wherever it may be the travels take you 🤩
@WalkAboutWayne9 ай бұрын
Chiang Mai is more dry heat, yes mate. It's a little more easy to deal with up North. It's baking all over Thailand at the minute but Kanchanaburi feels hotter than the North. The end is nearly here for Kanchanaburi mate, time for somewhere else. Thanks buddy.

In the 80’s when I was in the Army and stationed in Munich, Germany I used to date a girl who lived in Munich her whole life. I asked her if she ever visited the Dachau concentration camp, just 21 km from her house. She never did and told me she knew about it, but it was a ‘sad place’ and she would just rather forget it was there and what happened there. I brought up the old line “Those who forget their past are doomed to repeat it.” She got angry with me, like who was I to lecture her on what she should and should not remember. Needless to say, we broke up after that.

Thanks for sharing mate. Sorry to hear you broke up. I guess some just don't want to know or talk about things. I can understand it.

There was never a bridge over any River Kwae, the bridges were built over the Mae Klong and followed the Kwae Noi valley which starts where the Skywalk is today. In 1960 the government changed the name of the Mae Klong to River Kwai in a strange life imitating art move to cash in on the movie.
