I have felt alone my whole life since I moved away from my family when I was 19. I wish I had never left them. I am 62 now. Father dead, mother in nursing home, husband dead. I am really alone now. I think families should stay together. Love is the most important thing.

Greetings from an American expat living the last 30 years in Germany. If you feel lonely (not the same as alone) and want to meet people, try to find some Meet-up groups near you. Start out meeting people like yourself, and eventually you will get to know many locals. It worked for me! 😁

I find since my kids have left…I never really feel whole until we are all together. It’s hard especially when you love your family so much but know the memories will help until the next time you are together. You are so strong Lou,and it’s ok to be sad….I imagine as I am of mine, your parents are so proud of you! Thank you for sharing your life with us, the good, the bad, the lonely….love you with the love of the Lord!💕

Hello Lou! What a shock returning home alone after you were with your family, you amazed me by your courage, it must have been so hard... Be proud of you! When I feel bad because of loneliness, I find comfort by thinking that I am never alone, even if I can't see it, it's the faith that helps me, and also that MILLIONS of people feel alone, all over this planet... So let's be strong! I send you tons of love, take good care of you, you're so PRECIOUS, you're a GIFT for the world🎁💕😘

Nice vlog Lou!!! You are very comforting to watch. I am married for 36yrs. My Keith is a wonderful husband and Father. Tried to have children, but it didn't happen many miscarriages. I went to many fertility clinics, found nothing. I was told at 58yrs old after menopause that you could never have children bc of hugh fibroids. Anyway we adopted a boy from Hong Kong. Nikolas is his name, he has Downs and severe Autism. He doesn't speak and is totally dependent upon Keith and myself. He will be 30yrs old next July. Keith and I are retired and will see what to do in the future. Upstate NY has good group homes for disability ppl. They are suppose to be really good for Downs Syndrome ppl. I am from Long Island NY. Moved from Long Island bc my parents separated. I left a good job working for American Institute of Physics. I was not happy about this, it basically destroyed my spirit!! Keith and I met working at an HMO in Tucson. Keith is a Cytologist. Keith is a wonderful man!!! Nikolas is very loving as well. You just never know what life has in store for you. Good vlogs you do!!! Grateful!! Joan ❤❤❤

It’s hard being away from family but you adjust. I’m American and I live in California but I’m from NJ. Even tho it’s the same country I’m literally on the other side of the country. They are 3 hours ahead in time. I just visited after not being home in 2 years too. The best vacations are with family. That feeling when your on the plane and as it descends you can see your hometown. You feel at home. Thats priceless. When I was boarding the flight back and saw the signs back to California that’s when I got sad. But you learn to adjust. Thank you for sharing. The hardest day is the day after you come back 💪🏽

The first time I lived alone it was very scary at first but then the independence and the freedom and the creativity comes out. Sometimes it's lonely but it's great to know that there are other people who live alone and this is a great way to get Joy by seeing what others do in their Journeys. I love that when you went home you came back with a whole bunch of food from your home because it gives you a great reminder and happiness. I know it does when I find things from my home Island and it makes me happy

Hello, ate louuu! I hope you are fine! Living alone in a country where your family is not there is really hard. It takes a lot of courage and sacrifices to make sure that you give them a better life back home. No body knows the pain you feel everyday you wake up, no one knows the sacrifices you do when you get up to work. It's okay to feel sad because we are just humans-- sending you my virtual hugs ate lou because you have been inspiring me since last yr. I am already in my 4th yr college, I will do my best so I can also work in Japan ( my dream). I hope to meet you someday !! Thank you for always inspiring me, your videos are my free therapy ♡ Don't be sad anymore ate lou love lots !!

Just make yourself happy and be grateful that they are alive and well where they are. Hellou Lou. I can imagine and fell how is the loneliness that you beeing fell. I already felt and think that when I'll back to Japan this sentiment it'll be back. But, i think the Life is make a choose and sometimes we have choose the hard way. And this transform us in human better. How many hours of to fly from Japan to Philippines? Do your familiy live in Manilla? what is your favorite food from the Philippines? Well, take care yourself and stay well.

I have had many ups and downs, but I will tell you, having pets, and helping people through church,or volunteering has seen me through many a lonely time, and introduced me to new people. Perhaps a choral group if you like to sing, or read to preschool. One of my best friends, now past on, would volunteer at the hospital just to rock the sick babies in the infant intensive care. Its a shame we don't get a do over with our life choices, but you still have some good years left. Try to enjoy them, and visit your mom take some cookies to the nurses.
