Hello dear! I really admire your life away from your native land and now you enjoy simple little things! But, as I'm from 🇮🇹 I suppose you know that this recipe is far away from our carbonara😂! The only ingredients in common is egg, but not cook in this way! But I think it's funny how our masterpiece recipes are arranged all around the world! Though I really love Oriental cuisine (I often eat Japanese style) of traditional way of cooking it's little bit different, and it's what makes every Country unique and beautiful!😊

I always assumed groceries in Japan would be super expensive because it’s an island and everything has to be imported that isn’t grown or made on the island, but every time she grocery shops it’s way cheaper than at my grocery store in the states. I live in California though and everything is expensive here. She also could just be finding really good deals every time too.

Asia is cheaper. No matter which asian country you go it's way cheaper than the west for food. The west likes to profit monger. You don't see that in Asia. Any little shift in prices is a huge drop off in sales. Demand elasticity as they say in econ. The west is full of capitalist aholes.

Luc, you always look comfortable and "well put together" as you have a gift of being your warm self and not cooly pretentious! A gift! I would like to ask a question. You are very admirablely frugal. However, do you keep an emergency food pantry? Such as 5 to 6 days of simple shelf stable food supplies for emergencies? Storms, power outages, and more can happen! And the stores are not accessible. Simple things, like a few canned items, instant Raman noodles, tuna, crackers, and bottles of juice. Just because you live in a city doesn't mean you have easy supply access in emergencies. Also buy a very inexpensive camping stove that uses small tea light candles to heat water. It would be good to know you are prepared and safe! Blessings to you.😇🫶

Hello Lou, I'm an optician from Germany and you might be interested to know that there are different types of contact lenses. There are some that you throw away every day, then there are those that you already use. There are also some for monthly exchange and two types for annual exchange. The annuals are available in hard and soft. Each type of contact lens has its advantages and disadvantages. And apart from the dailies, there are also different ways to clean them. I've just had an optician appointment yesterday and it went very well , I have learned they are lenes to try and correct my astigmatism . It's all very exciting as atm I can't drive at night 😊😊

@@liscatcat8756 yes, contact lenses can correct the astigmatism for a bit. In Germany we say "eierlegende Wollmilchsau". It means, that something can fix sth but not perfect. Lenses ar the best example.
