This would make for a good series of pulp Warhammer stories. Think about it, a group of slave warriors, a few Imperial Guardsmen, some Tau Fire Warriors, a Kroot, a Ratling, a couple Ceaftworld Eldar, a Space Marine and some Orks, all having to put aside their differences and prejudices and band together to survive Commorragh. Each story a new monster or daemon of the week, new challenges and other slave warriors to fight, and this band as the stories go on become closer and more in tune with each other, until they're all brothers and sisters of the arena.

Because it's in the Webway and the Imperium does not have (easy) access to it

This dark city is between a realm of the material and warp reality. So, the imperium may have an idea of where they are, but not the exact location. So, finding this place ain't easy.

What's stopping someone from wanting to go full-on suicidal? After enduring all that torturing, why would someone want to continue to live? What's the point? They're gonna die sooner or later in these arenas, so they might as well accept their fate and kill themselves as fast as possible. Doesn't seem very logical or sustainable to me if there's absolutely no incentive for the gladiators to fight for their lives.

Sounds like a lot of tedious work torturing and attending the same gladiator battles every night. Wouldn't the same old torture, pain and death just get BORING? You could keep ratings up for a few years I suppose but after a while... just blah. It would all be so pointless. I'd think they'd want to take part in the only real competition - fight and conquer the universe.

The Drukhari manage to capture everything. they capture tyranids, space marines, chapter masters, they even managed to capture a few custodes. Dont ask me how but the easy answer is that GW hates the imperium
