Daily Recap November 9th 2024

Jer rested well and the boys actually started his night feed for me as I dozed off. My body has been struggling to catch up. I jumped up near midnight thinking I forgot to start his feed, but his brothers made sure it was done. Typically at night I wake every two to three hours if Jer has a good restful night. We got up early and Jer was loud until he saw me. The toothbrush fall out was a classic and is it just me or does he stare at me more intently now? Those big bright puppy dog eyes say so much. His lungs are finally getting back stronger as he tolerates his treatments without discomfort. While cleaning and sorting all of his toys, we worked on a few activities unwillingly. Yup unwillingly. He didn’t want to feed the bird worms, neither did he want to put the ball in the box. He did enjoy a lollipop and some tummy time. I didn’t want to do anything too strenuous today. I rather he rests more on the weekend. He also used his device a lot today and helped put together mister potato head. We worked on using strings on a board and I think he enjoyed playing with the toolbox the most. Tonight he got a good soak in some lavender, mint and melatonin epsom salt bath and I’ll massage him as well before bed. Quiet day but productive with sorting all of his many toys. And yes we are getting rid of a huge bag but we kept the educational ones and his favorites. Oh..as I did the video I realized he was telling me yes a few times today. The recaps help me see things I may have missed in the moment. Today we pray that you take the time to reflect at the end of each day and thank God for the many times he gave us a “yes”. May we take time to sort through areas of our life not just in a natural sense.
