Great video - but from the title, I thought you'd compare both the ESV and the GNT (Good News Translation) to the Greek text. Finally at the end, I realized you meant "Greek New Testament" : )

The ESV is the RSV revised. I like the NASB more and find the ESV is very awkward. Its like they tried to be different rather than faithful. If I want an Interpretation, I go to the 1984 NIV for a smoothing out of the text which we use in our daily Devotions because it reads outloud smoother.

And I might add, The ESV really shows its weakness when you translate The Book oF Hebrews. UGGHHHHHH. It stands out to be VERY AWKWARD and its renditions is often out of sinc. The NAS shows more faithfulness in many of those troubling verses and I found the NIV to be a very smooth rendering of the gist when the Greek was just plain challenging. And there are many of those verses in the Book oF Hebrews.
