Some have 90 degrees angles you'd need to make. I mean before you enter a drive-through over here it states the maximum height clearly. And if one looks at the vehicle information, it should say the height. The guy was probably freaked out, but he could've saved a lot of costs if he stopped before the left back got bent and loose...

1:03 for those that dont know about box trucks and some semi truck trailer, the walls are fiberglass (a thin semi rigid material) that is braced by wooden and metal frames inside. the walls themselves can be punctured pretty easily and ripped off by wind if compromised. they are made from fiberglass because it's lighter than metals such as steel that needs corrosion protection and stainless that is corrosion resistant but is expensive and def cheaper than aluminum because aluminum is also expensive. imagine these trucks with 300+ more lbs of weight from the structure itself plus cargo? thats a lot more diesel needed to travel plus a lot more distance required to brake, plus the amount of tires consumed by the weight. not to mention the weight being much more kind of like a train that could destroy even more if it crashed into cars.

Guy who works at a auto scrap processing plant here. Generally speaking the siding of box trucks and even semi trailers is little more than sheet aluminum reinforced with a little steal at best. Many still just have wood walls with some thin plate over it. It surprisingly easy to piece the side of a box truck. When lifting them with a claw crane its usually wise to aim for the corners which are more sturdy.

A prisoner bus has seats on the side where they'd be sitting like every other bus to my knowledge... and I can't see clearly enough into the side windows to confirm no one is there. It's not that I believe there's prisoners in there, but I see nothing to prove otherwise.

Obviously she wasn't gonna let the kid actually get hurt or anything, but letting them "run away" by climbing down the stair and running back home in fear of the unknown is not the wrong decision in the slightest.
