If I remember correctly in a recent interview Alonso said something like: "I want to make the race maximum pain for my opponents." It really shows throughout his career. Shame about this season though, because of 400 races mark passed with a mechanical failure, and on top of that he has only 62 points. In comparison 2023 season was amazing for Alonso. He finished in 4th place, with 206 points and 8 podiums.

Alonso, is one of the greats. He has been saddled with trash many times in his career. Even Senna was in the Toleman and other cars that weren’t great. Contrast this with Hamilton, who has always been in great cars and to his credit made the most of them. He does seem to know the right time to move to a different team as it looks like the Ferrari is going to be good next year. For this reason however, I don’t rate Hamilton in the same category (even with all the championships) as a Senna, Schumacher, Hakkinen, Prost, Mansell, Raikonen, Vettel, M. Verstappen or Alonso… Hamilton doesn’t have any idea on what it’s like to drive a bucket of sh!t and make it work.

@@bzilla-d4i Yes well problem is Lance won't be much help in getting a faster car. The next car will definitely be designed around Fernando. Realistic target 26 but what if Honda messed up again? Lewis somehow always makes the best career choices and Ferrari is looking really strong for next year.

@starby1243 it seems likely, their powerplant hasn't exactly been stellar. Where they were strong was with the ERS, and a brilliantly designed Adrian Newey chassis. The new regulations will cause a massive shake up. Only time will tell though, we won't see much developments next season. Whoever is ahead at the end of this season will probably take next year as well.

i really think vw group will make one off the best engines f1 will see yet. When audi manufacturer enters f1 scheduled for 2026 ❤. Their v6 engines are monsters all round.
