I was once once in my car and chased by a car full of yobs who had baseball bats and were launching bricks at the car. I assumed they wanted the car. They smashed the windows on my car and my passenger was on the phone to the police throughout. The operator kept repeating that there were no police in the area to help and that if it's serious enough we won't get prosecuted for speeding. Lol. Finally after getting away, an officer took a picture of the smashed windows of the car and said they would be in touch. A couple months later they said there was no CCTV footage (really? after travelling about 3-4 miles around town passing likely 50-100 cameras). I invested in some pepper spray as I was rather worried about travelling about at night after that. Few months later I got pulled over for speeding and the officer found the pepper spray. I was arrested, charged and sent to crown court and sentenced to 100 hours of community service and a 6pm-6am curfew for 3 months. On the day I was caught with the pepper spray the police submitted evidence (for whatever reason) of me travelling in my car and had compiled footage of my car on about 100 CCTV camera's that night. True story. They only want to help when they can be bothered.

Cheers mate. Many people think that. The judge I had for the first few hearings was a very down to earth judge who explained that the minimum sentence was 4 years (not even out in half the time). That shook me a bit and that's what I prepared for. However, he was not correct that the minimum sentence was 4 years. CS gas does come under the section 5 firearms act and is of course prohibited but thankfully not subject to mandatory minimum sentences (currently).

I grew up in the U.K. And have lived over seas for the past 5 years. The US would never tolerate this because the citizens have guns to defend themselves. The travellers from this site send there kids to the hotel carparks around the areas to break into cars, I witnessed this at the Hilton in Watford and they were caught red handed by the car owner, the kids get on their mobiles and 5 minutes later two vans of travellers turn up with hammers and bats, threaten the staff and the car owner, take the kids away and the police showed up 50 minutes later and did sweet FA.

Be careful of Autotrader sellers folks. I had a similar experience when buying a Lexus IS220d off Bucks Trade Centre in High Wycombe. After they agreed a part exchange and a sale I walked off with the car with my friend. We spent an hour parked up trying to insure it and off we went on our way. As we drove off the seller suddenly spotted us out on the road going towards the M40 and chased us in my old car just like you see in the video. The garage owner tried pulling us over, speeding, flashing, ramming is off the road because he wanted the Lexus back. Be careful of Auto trader!!! This experience and my experience won't be the last you'll ever hear of Autotrader adverts.
