This is my first video of yours, just popped up in KZbin and I started watching it since it was showing up my Bengaluru city ( Land of Kannadiga) and what an amazing video it was, my wife came and joined me after 10 mnts, we both watched till the end, The moment you went Canara bank, my wife told “see now that ATM won’t work “ and you exactly came out saying no working, we fell to the ground and laughed. That is most horrible bank in India. Bengaluru is our life, our god, our mother, i hope you had a great time in my city. Please do return back again. I stayed in banglore for a year obviously due to work but the problem is nobody’s dying wants us to teach Kannada..When we request you ask us to use youtube for gift or google. Basic language can only be learned when people are enthusiastic to teach you. I tried with many people at work and at pg hut to no avail we just get brushed off. You come to north and you will see opposite. You ask us to teach and we will even make it easy for you to understand by mixing the it with your native. Its easy to blame people but hard to bring a change.

Hey, Max, you are very welcome in my wonderful city. Just a few points : Taaza Thindi translates to FRESH SNACKS. While eating Idlis, you do not need to decimate it completely. You just break a small piece, envelope it with chutney and ingest it. You can go to the counter and get unlimited chutney refills, which I do mostly when I eat my Idli-Vada-Dosa with a lot of chutney. The Dosa you would have had there would be Bengaluru style. But you had Dosae (that is what we call it here) in the style prepared by another district of our state - Daa-vana-gerae, pronounced with a "ge" as in the word "gear" not je. Both varieties are great, each with their minute variations. The Vidyarthi Bhavan chutney is made predominantly with fried gram, with some coconut, green chillies, coriander leaves, seasoned with mustard seeds and asafoetida, spluttered in oil. The Dosa is fried in pure ghee. VB is vintage, we are crazy about it and don't compare it with others😅. The retro vibe inside the restaurant, filled with pictures of our state's great authors, poets, politicians, thinkers, is a welcome change from the regular cafes. Vidyarthi Bhavan is in Gandhi Bazaar which is where I grew up and did my schooling! It is touching for me to watch it on KZbin, thanks to you! The second buttermilk drink you had was TAMBULI, made mainly with Oregano leaves, green chillies, cumin seeds, asafoetida and curd. It is a fantastic digestive and we eat it with rice mostly. I am not surprised it was too strong to drink as a standalone. Really like your attitude, have a great time in Bengaluru 😊
