The 3.3T at 71mph had around 1850rpm, this one has 2200rpm. Also the outside temp was over 70F when you tested the 3.3T. Here you have around 60F.

If you drive 50 miles in a day, almost half of that is electricity which is cheaper than gas.

Working at a dealership with Volvo and Mazda, and working where I do deliveries to customers of brokers, I drive all the new Volvo and Mazda's and put a fair number of miles on them. It gives me the chance to really test drive the vehicles unlike someone who buys them after taking a 2 to 5 mile test drive. Over the past 8 years, I've put a lot of miles on the two brands and often drive 100 to 150 miles. With that said, I can't stand driving the CX70/90's. Especially with the PHEV, they have a strange and annoying jerking at slower speeds and while starting out. It's so bad that the only time I don't notice it is when driving constant 40 mph or higher. These very well may be the worst driving vehicles I've ever driven. To add insult to injury, the EV range is pathetic and the ICE is sluggish and way too small for how large these things have become. And the final straw? They have had recall after recall along with quite a few issues. I so much more prefer the old CX9 over these. I have driven the inline 6 engine way less, so I can't speak as well about that one but it's still not for me. Mazda should really take lessons from Volvo on how to make a good PHEV.

It’s Mazdas 1st PHEV they are sending software updates to fix the jerky ness. I think in a year or so they will be better

@@rodneynasir8089 Well, we've had a ton of recalls on every one. Many issues other than the jerking. Horrible range that nearly makes it totally not worth getting the PHEV. It's way too big and drives like a tank instead of feeling nimble. Just an awful vehicle. If I had to have a 3 seater and a Mazda, I would absolutly find a really clean and low miles CX9. It's 10x the vehcile.

Isn't the PHEV works like a hybrid ? After electric is depleted, while running in gas, it will recharge the battery overtime so that it can switch between electric and gas just like a regular hybrid ?

@@djplonghead5403different target for both. The Sienna is for families seeking a good balance of maximum practicality and efficiency, the Mazda is for a driver looking for a more premium and fun to drive vehicle still with practicality and fuel efficiency in mind.
