5:30 The adjustment of the low and high volume is probably for the loudness correction. The anmount of bass and highs in a car usually doesn't increase proportionally if you adjust the volume, but your bass at lower volumes already is like 10-20dB louder than normally. The ear is less sensitive to lows and highs at low volumes than at high volumes. Also you need to cover up the engine and road noise. Anyone who tried to set up an DSP Amp in a car stereo probably made the mistake of setting it up perfectly at standstill, only to recognize that it doesn't nearly sound as good while driving. Thats why I really like your reviews while driving!

I think Mercedes and Volvo have the best sound systems. I enjoy the Tesla sound system in my Model 3 Performance/my wife's Model Y Performance, but hands down, this Mercedes system is one of the best out there.

No doubt they’re great systems! I’ve demo’d much of the vehicles that offer the B&W (BMW X7, i7, XM, Volvo XC90, and S90) and even the 4D Burmester in the new S-Class; I can admit they’re the best stock systems. I was able to create an arguably better system in my Model Y for a little over $7k. It is a great step up from my SQ7’s advanced B&O at least, and I found the B&O to be pretty on par with the Burm’s and B&Ws. Obviously words cannot showcase sound, but the sound-staging after installing new amps, DACs, speakers, sub w/amp, and killmat is insane. Took a long time to custom build housings for the amps and a couple speakers, but the end result is well worth it. Probably would have cost me $11k+ if I had a shop do it, but thankfully I have some buds who know a lot about car audio and EVs.

Lol Listening to this back to back with the c300 video, it does sound great (tons of depth), but it also sounds like they “needed” 31 speakers to fill in that gap in the mid bass you mentioned. Sort of the idea of if you don’t know what stinks just drown everything in soap. Lol

It’s funny. I have a new s63 and the xc90 excellence both with the upgraded systems. The Volvo is clear and crisp where the Mercedes literally vibrates your body when you blast it. It’s much louder and deeper but the Volvos is just as crisp, clean, and clear. In my opinion the Benz is a tad bit better as i do like the extra sounds that it makes. It’s insane but the Volvo is right there with it. Also you have to remember the Volvos system is 3200 and the s class system is 6600 so you should expect more and I think it does have just that little extra umph. Volvos more clear but the Benz just bumps HARD. Makes the new Escalade system sound like an am radio that comes and goes lol

Just listened to the burmeister 3D 23 speaker system in a 2022 amg e53. Better than naim. Better than mark levinson. Hell, better than my home system. You will hear instruments and sounds you’ve never heard before. When you’re spending this much money on wheels, what’s another $5K to have your own personal concert hall. This is a must add for any MB model.

I have my bass on +1. Mid on +2. Treb on +3. But it’s all subjective. That’s why there’s so many setting combos.

There is nothing better then Bowers & Wilkins You just need to compare same years and class of car. My BMW G12 2017 has B&W and we compered with same s class 2021 and I can’t say that Mercedes sounds better or louder , The only different that I liked in mercedes that you kind of dive in the music it is all over because I guess they have a speakers in the headliner/ceiling.

hmm, no. In the Porsche, at least in the 911 even the Burmester system can sound a little sloppy and unbalanced, lacking control in the bass, especially in the mid-bass. But I never heard Burmester on Cayenne or Panamera, it might sound amazing on these

Your personal listening is WOW ... I think you Deaf... that was loud.. LOL... I use VLC audio controller, although it is only has a 10 band eq,,, would lover 32 band eq, within the app for listening to music and remaster music from raw with 32 band eq. I also placed a 32 band eq in a car before just to hear thing the way I wished... I have an acquired taste in listening to music with these fussy fussy ears... Over time I like to believe I've gotten good at my craft.
