Technically it happens one year after the defeat of Kid Buu. 6 months after Kid Buu’s death, The Z fighters make a wish on the Dragon balls using that wish to erase the memory of Fat Buu being evil, so he can live a normal life. In The Buu Arc, Goten is 7, Trunks is 8. In Daima Trunks is 9, meaning Goten is 8. I wish they focus more on Goten. He needs more shine.

I want to see a Goku that can’t beat the villain and has to go to elder Kai for his potential to be unleashed. But it affects him differently since he’s always mostly capped his powers he gets access to control his great ape. And he gets ss4 but not the way we’d normally think because he will have two variations. He’ll have demon primal sayian and then another one ss4 primal sayian.

I know how Shin and Kibito will fuse. It'll happen after Goku and Vegeta give back the Potara earrings but one of them is gonna have once side in and while the other is putting it on they start fusing accidentally. Alternatively Kibito and Shin might fuse while taking off the earrings. Regardless it will happen in a gag scene and result in KibitoKai making his appearance. Don't know why they'll defuse though

I think the artificial saiyan idea is very possible! Toyotaro created a fan manga called DragonBall AF back in the day, and one of the big plotlines was an evil kai creating an artificial kai/saiyan hybrid using Goku's DNA named Xicor. Since Toyotaro is now on the official writing team it's possible he would reimagine that idea in this way.

The fusion technique was first shown in the Broly movie, but it was actually learned earlier during the Buu saga. Goku taught Goten and Trunks how to perform the fusion, indicating he must have known about it beforehand. The Jenemba movie reveals that Goku and Vegeta had already fused in the Other World during the Buu saga, when Goku's temporary time on Earth ended, and Vegeta had sacrificed himself to defeat Majin Buu This explains how Goku knew the fusion technique and why Vegeta was aware of Goku's deception during the Majin Vegeta fight.

Some of you may not like it but you have to appreciate what it is Forest one of the last things he worked on before he passed away and he took more consideration from the pass word that he has done and he felt best to take it back to a time when he was at his best so you have to see it from his perspective and plus we have never really drove deep into the demon realm that is canon so this has a lot to bring and everybody should be excited and I wouldn't say he is retcon anything we'll put it in his own words you have to consider that he does have somebody else writing for him now which is very convenient are those some people may debate. I think it's Glorio who's gonna be the main villain in Daima.... In episode 1, he was shown lurking behind a pillar and spying on Degasu & Gomah's conversation with the look of a schemer in his eyes. Then at episode 2, Kaioshin was very wary of Glorio when he arrived on Earth and even advised Goku to not let his guard down around this guy. So I think Glorio only wants to use Goku and friends to defeat the demon realm dragon balls guardians and then collect the balls for himself.... unless he is working for a higher power like Dr. Arinsu, or perhaps even Neva, who was the last surviving Namekian in the demon realm who probably also wants to be the new demon king and he needs Dende to probably fuse with him and make himself younger again that's why they had Dende kidnapped, hmmmmmm.... now I'm confused as F***! Hehehehe! Anyway I am more excited for Daima than I was with GT for sure....

Nah bro all those who just said are actually retcons, Because according to this definition and when I remember of it, A retcon is not necessarily inconsistent with the already established storyline it's just there to explain things. retcon by google;a piece of new information that imposes a different interpretation on previously described events, typically used to facilitate a dramatic plot shift or account for an inconsistency. A retcon is when you are told that this is how things already were while you know it was not but because in the storyline originally we were left with an open ended explanation that the Author can put whatever explanation they want and it could be seemingly consistant canon. Remember when in Rick and Morty they broke out retcon from prison his ability was that he could basically say anything Always was and it will be because that was his ability. One of his retcons was when rick says, "we were always friends," current cannon at that point doesn't show any of that, but it also doesnt disagree with it, as such, it becomes true.
