Dainese Axial D1 Boots Review

Just bought these today. They fit like a glove. I was originally going for the Torque D1 Air’s, but it felt uncomfortable with the shape of my foot. These Axial D1 Air’s are so freakin comfy. Definitely give them a big thumbs up!Worth every penny if it prevents an injury from a crash too. Did I mention the fit and finish?!? Good god! I’m sitting here just holding these things. They’re an incredible piece of engineering!

These boots fit perfectly under a pair of jeans as well. All I do is attach a strip of female-side velcro to the necessary areas and it slides right under my pants without snagging :)

you can wear with any suit but only dainese suit have the velcro that attach the suit to the boot

This was my exact thought, a pair of jeans.....well done with female sided velcro bro....may I ask where you got it from?

​@@kirkdunn1379I just used two pieces and stuck them together. It doesn't fully cover all the velcro hooks; just enough to push the jeans forward off of it.

I bought these on a close out so I can’t get them exchanged. Got them in a 42. When I probably should have the 43. Is it possible once they are broken in to not be so tight?

There doesn’t appear to be a women’s version offered and the smallest size is 40. Revzilla- can you please tell me if Dainese’s sizing is universal or differs from men’s to women’s sizes? I’ve got the women’s Torque D1’s in a 40 so I want to know if a men’s 40 would fit. Thanks!

Men's and women's Euro sizes are exactly the same length, but women's boots tend to be just slightly narrower in the foot and ankle compared to men's boots. The Axials are pretty slim, though, so you should be able to wear the men's version in size 40. -DrewZilla *bit.ly/AxialD1

You technically *could* wear them around the city yeah, but typically speaking the most-sport driven designs for boots will often keep performance in mind instead of all-day comfort etc. Dainese's target audience for these were track racing and those riders are willing to let up on comfort-features for speed. Not a full answer (sorry about that) but follow your heart on it! -Pat

@@VipinRathor46 Hello. I live in Moscow. Our motorcycle season starts only in a month (((. So far I have only ridden them in the parking lot where my motorcycles are parked. The boots fit snugly on the foot and secure the ankle well. goes well with jeans (i wear PROmoJeans / pmj.it). Of course, this experience is still minimal. I'll add more information as the season progresses. I looked through a lot of reviews - everyone thinks these boots are top!

The amount of protection the Axial D1 Boot provides will be very similar considering that both of these boots offer a number of the same functional features as one another. The main difference will be in the cost of the materials used in the Axial D1, mainly the D-Axial system in carbon and aramid fiber. -Luke

No, not really. The Alpinestars pants are short, as they are designed to fit inside Alpinestars boots. With the Dainese boots, they don't work well together at all. You really need Dainese pants with the suit-to-boot system for the Axial boots. -DrewZilla

Princess_Yow I’ve got the Women’s Torque D1 boots. I dropped a Hypermotard =( on my Achilles/ankle in a high side incident and they saved my a$$ from real damage. The bike was fine! But besides a nasty bruise, nothing was broken, torn, or crushed and I learned the importance of wearing real boots. Since these are meant to go under a race suit, do you still feel like the upper part of the boot provides solid reinforcement without the extra layer of a track suit? I like these and plan to buy but will use mainly for day to day riding = jeans. Thanks-Rachel

Size comparision to supertech R? Im a 43 in A* boots and they're comfortable, are the dainese quite a bit narrower? i just got a laguna seca 4 suit and the in boots seem like they'll be better fit.

Oh boy They're not increasing the price Funny, I wasn't even thinking about them raising the price I was wondering when they were going to lower the price to about half You're getting half a boot and half a sock with Velcro It shouldn't be so expensive
