I agree with your comments Van. I have the Carbon longs and they are really comfy, but also really thin. Great for 1st time novice riders on the track but they shine on the street for highway and back roads riding.

For the current model, the full metal is actually going to end up being less protective for a daily driver. They wear out extremely fast and require frequent conditioning and are not intended for daily use. They are intended for race use only. This info was from the Dainese reps I spoke with in Santa Monica.

We no longer offer Dainese products here at STG. IMO producing a glove that does not hold up with any real use will only serve to piss riders off. Trust me when I tell you no one will be happy with a pair of gloves that cost more and last less. - Van

@@sportbiketrackgear very true, they even told me about riders that got pissed off about it. Makes sense.

I already had the 4 stroke evo’s and like them so pick up a pair of the Steel Pro also. They’re stiff so I find myself sticking with my old gloves instead of going through the break in process for the new ones. They look like an okay product but who knows how they’ll hold up in a crash.

In compaison with the full metal rs (fm-rs), does the 4-stroke long use a different material for the palm? I know the older full metal pro used goat skin.

A bit late of a reply, but the 4 Stroke Long gloves also use goat leather.

Van, I have a question. Need some gloves for drag racing. What would your recommendation be for something with top level protection but also excellent tactile feel, stretch and mobility. Since reaction time is so important, finger movement needs to be a priority. i was considering The full metal 6 glove, but it sounds like it might be a little thick? Thanks!

@@sportbiketrackgear And since we're on the topic, Do you recommend the A-Star GP Force Phantom leathers for drag racing? I'm thinking because of the less aggressive cut. We usually stand around for quite some time all suited up and are only on the bike for a short period.

We just added Dainese back to the site a couple weeks back. They are now being distributed by Tucker so we do not have to deal directly with Dainese. - Van

I love top end gear but never pay full price. Used Dianese full metal gloves for $80, Avro 4 jacket $450, Agv pista GPR $650.
