Thank you thank you so much for your clear precise explanations. I bought these the bundle of crackling paint. However, I was waiting for two days for the type one layer to dry. No until you explain that the layer remained sticky I could understand the process. I thought I was the same as the cracking glace which I had to wait until it was perfectly dry.

Thank you for the video...enjoyed it very much! Comment and question please - after applying the pigment, you wipe off the access. This leaves a thin layer on top of the entire project. It's not so noticeable on the bluebird napkin project, but very apparent on this heart ornament that has so much white. Can you simply use a damp (with water or other product) cloth to clean the project of the access surface pigment without disturbing the crackle pigment areas? Once again, thank you. DJ

Hi where do you buy the crackling product ! I'm from Quebec and I don't found it !
@patwhittington84784 жыл бұрын
Here in the states Deco Art mades 1 one step crackle. You put it on a painted surface let it dry and apply a complementing color on top. The top coat crackles and you see the bottom color through the cracks. Then varnish.

Thank you for taking the time to make a video and to share it with us, it's beautiful! I just had a vision and it might take a bit of work, but I just saw my tub/shower encloser in this image on separate tiles. I would make the tiles first and then paste and grout them as one. Do you think I should add crackle to the grout also? Would it undo the sealing part of grout? I could do the crackle and not put in any pigment so it wouldn't take away from the look of the tiles. Do you think this would work and of course I would add a waterproof sealant.
@IvetaZiedina4 жыл бұрын
Ooo that's a very difficult question for me to answer as I know nothing about tiles and how you apply them etc. I do know that people have decoupaged on to tiles that are already on the wall. as long as the tile is on the wall properly you can apply anything on to the facing side. same goes with the crackle, I as long as after you've done your decoupage/crackle/anyting else you might want to do you seal it with the right kind of sealant you're going to be absolutely fine. That being said, You should also be able to do it before the tile is on the wall as you're only going to be working with one side of it so as long as the other side stays untouched you should be fine. In theory :D

@IvetaZiedina5 жыл бұрын
oo 1 litre bottle will give you quite a bit, difficult to say as I bought this crackle like 5 years ago when I first started decoupaging and then didn't use it for 3 years + I used it on many different projects so it's really hard to tell. all I can say is that I got way more out of my little bottles then I thought I would!
