Loved reading the comments here! When you share about the things that ‘don’t go as planned’ you certainly learn a LOT from your fellow partners in the farming industry. 👍🏻 Bravo for making this video Lauren!!! 🎉

Another great video thanks for sharing the good and the not so good days we all have them just in different ways. Thanks again.

That was fun - I chuckled at the last heifer running with Eddie. I actually expected him to get towed. Why is it that the silly things we do are always the funniest - like forgetting the electric fencer is plugged in and then sticking the wire in your mouth to undo a knot! LOL. Luckily it wasn't full charge. I can certainly sympathize with the story of #1 and how plans just don't go as planned. Good compilation video

Just a little trick for next time you have to move calves with the halter, the go better in reverse. Cover their eyes with your hands and they steer like a skid steer.😅

Pretty sure rear window is the emergency escape for this situation, should come out easy from inside

I noticed you mix up milk replacement for the calves. Do you use milk replacement rather than your dairy milk for economic reason or is it for cost savings? Thank you for all the effort you put into your videos.

Hi there, thanks for watching and for the comment! We use milk replacer for several reasons, being: consistency, time savings (we milk with robots so it would take time to gather milk for the calves), cost savings (though this reason is debatable).

Enjoyed all your clips, just letting people see some of the reality of dairy farming. One piece of advice on your cattle trailer is wait until you can afford an aluminum one as they will last you a lifetime of farming. We had one for over ten years and it was sold at our auction for 20% more than we paid for.

I 100% agree. That’s what we would like to get.

I gave my first IV when I was 12. Simple milk fever, and my Dad had taught me what to do. Amazing that my shaking hands hit the vein. Couldn't he have switched the key on and let gravity lower the skid boom? To many electronics now.

No key in these new machines. I’m sure there was a way. But I couldn’t figure it out.

@@EddyKoster-st3wb That sucks. Glad you could get help. Idk what the engineers are thinking, but they don't run equipment!
