INGREDIENTS:
Cake
1 cup King Arthur AP Flour
1/2 cup almond flour
1 tbsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
4 egg yolks
3 1/2 tbsp vegan butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup coconut milk
1/2 cup of oat milk
Tres Leches “Milk”
1/2 cup coconut milk
1/2 cup oat milk
1 ⅓ cup cashew milk
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tbsp vanilla extract
Whipped Topping
1 can coconut milk, solidified portion
1/2 cup powdered sugar

Looks amazing for those of us who cant consume dairy. If someone wants to make the real deal Tres Leches, this traditional dessert is a cake, a thin and airy batter layered with dulce de leche and soaked in a mixture of condensed milk, and evaporated milk, thats where the name came from. All this covered in meringue. So just add soy or coconut dulce de leche in layers, and cover in meringue and youre done

My husband loves tres leches cake but is lactose intolerant… BUT he doesn’t like coconut. I wish there was another milk alternative to coconut milk. Looks delicious though!

Extra oat and cashew milk instead. Someone's I'll melt a little Earth Balance in one of those to substitute heavy cream in recipes. Then use dairy free whipped topping from a tub or almond milk "whipped cream" in a can for the topping instead. (I'm dairy free and have a friend who can't do nuts or coconuts, so I use oat.)
