That's a huge Daiso. Much bigger than the one I checked out in Pattaya, Thailand. I have to take you to task on one item. USB-charger cables vary a lot in quality. I don't know if Daiso's is good or not. Before using a cable, I check it with a USB-meter I bought from eBay. Charging speeds vary a LOT! And I would like to charge my items at their rated speed, rather than at half or even less the rated speed. So check out your cables when you review them!

And then I read your blog post. Charging cables are not usually dangerous. If they're damaged, they shouldn't be used, but otherwise they should not be a safety problem. A speed problem, sometimes. However, chargers are potentially dangerous. Always charge when you're present. Be wary of surfaces you use. And use good quality chargers - original chargers or other good ones. I would be very wary of ebay, for instance.

Hey Ann, thanks for your comments. I always use the Daiso charging cable in my presence while I'm at work and don't leave it unattended. For $1.50 of course I am somewhat wary, but so far it's been a perfectly acceptable back-up charger to have at work. Unfortunately, I don't have a meter to check the speed. At home I use my AmazonBasics charging cable.

We actually shot the interior and exterior scenes at 2 different Daiso locations. That huge interior you saw is located at 3842 Sepulveda Blvd. in Torrance, CA. It's the largest Daiso I've ever been in.
