There was a mynah bird at the pet store near us when I was a kid back in the 70s. His name was Paco. He would say "My name is Paco" and "I'm afraid to talk to you." His whistles were so loud and piercing that they had to put a sign on his cage saying "Please don't whistle at Paco!" Because he would answer back with an ear piercing whistle that would shatter the nerves.

I know all about the piercing whistles…Daisy does an earth shattering wolf whistle and she also usually does it when someone is walking past our house…very embarrassing 🙈😂

I understand your doubts but this is not AI. It’s 100% genuine. It’s me who has trained Daisy and lived with her since she was 7 weeks old. It’s hard for some people to believe she is real because these birds (Mynahs) are quite rare as pets so they are not familiar with a bird voice that sounds so human, but Daisy is definitely cute and amazing 😃

No, its real. They have an organ called the syrinx, located between the bronchi and the trachea. It has thin vibrating membranes that can be adjusted by small muscles, allowing them to modify the frequency, tone and volume of sounds. Some birds may have a bilateral syrinx, which allows them to create two sounds at the same time. Another thing that helps is the respiratory system of birds, which is more developed than that of mammals, and allows them to produce longer and more stable sounds, as well as rapid variation of sounds.
