Thank you so much for bringing these delightful editions to us each year! I’ve been collecting my “retirement library”, which includes quite a few classics and I’ve taken to getting a couple of the children’s books you show to get a quick overview of works by Shakespeare, Dickens, etc., so I can see which ones I want to read first. Plus, the wonderful illustrations make me feel young again. Thanks again! Oh, I’m also getting the Monet pop up book, as I think it’s intriguing to have his brush strokes on the pop ups. I wasn’t so taken by the surrealist pop up book, however, as I think their art is detracted from by the pop ups, perhaps because it feels like an imposition on their expression.

Always my favorite KZbin video of the year. Thank you! I have the children's Shakespeare and Moonstone and am very happy with them. I was hoping Union Square and Co. would have another Deluxe Illustrated Classic this year. The three I have are among my favorites.

Ah, thank you 💕 I love those deluxe illustrated classic too, especially how each one is designed especially for the book rather than all the same. Union Square just got sold to Hachette recently, so I really hope they keep going with the series.

I really like how publishers are getting creative with ways to entice newer generations to take up reading! I'm a dedicated reader, but I really appreciate the "extras" that are included in some of the classic tales, like beautiful covers, pull-out letters, etc.

Such a treat to see a new video from you! I have a question regarding the Chiltern Classics editions, I ordered 2 books in these editions and for both the spine wasn't glued to the book, I imagine this is because the books are quite heavy. Could you let me know if this is how the books are made or are my editions just faulty?

Thank you! And yes, your Chiltern classics are supposed to be like that. They are attached to a flexible internal cloth spine, as it helps them open flat when you’re reading without cracking the external spine that you see on the shelf 😀
