When I was stuck in a windowless shop I put a webcam outside that streamed to a TV I hung on the wall inside to look like a window. Slightly dystopian but helped a little :)

The only thing I know about Tourette syndrome is what I learned on South Park, and I'm not even kidding. Aaaannndd, the friggin' dictionary does NOT recognize Tourette as a word, and I'm not even kidding about that, either. I swear, the internet is getting stupider. "Did you mean 'usherette'?"

I worked in a photo lab dark room for 30 years so I truly understand the way that place feels. As far as Tourette, I grew up around 3 family friends that have what would be seen as a rather bad case of it and they were told to avoid drinking alcohol. I'm not sure if that helps you any but it's something we take into account whenever we go out to dinner together. I'm glad you're talking about it. I think it's going to help a lot of people. As always, beautiful work!

Wonderful video as ever. And thank you for mentioning the Tourette's. I met an aspiring guitar builder a few years ago who unfortunately had been violently attacked for his ticks. I was assessed as autistic last year (aged 58!) and although it is not as visible as the hopping I do have several flavours of stimming some of which are more obvious than others and all are clear once anyone knows what they are. It is so easy to be self conscious about it but hopefully the more we flag it up the less of an issue it will be and the neurobeige will just have to put up with it.

That's nice of you to share your terets and leave in the footage of your ticks. There's without a doubt other people suffering from it too watching that can be helped and realise it is nothing to be ashamed of. While i don't suffer from terets, I do suffer from some pretty bad OCD and I can sometimes feel ashamed of my ticks/compulsions too especially if somebody's around though I do try to control it as best I can around others but it does sometimes seep out. The severity of it fluctuates as well with my stress levels and I've had periods where it's almost non-existent and others where it interferes more with my daily life. Love your channel btw, you're extremely talented.

One of your vids came up after watching a slew of StumpyNubs videos. Wow. Awesome skills. And thanks for the Debussy. It’s been a minute since listening to him. Nice Back in the day I worked at a mental health treatment residence and a young man who had been diagnosed with Tourette’s had a brief stay with us. What came out of his mouth could sound incredibly mean, but on occasion he was inadvertently wonderfully hilarious. We tried, as staff, not to react too much regardless what he was saying, but sometimes I have to admit I couldn’t always hold back my laughter. He was usually pretty chill about it. Sadly, he had some “bad influence” friends and he got arrested when they all got carried away on a joy ride that resulted in felony level property destruction. I was just thinking about him the other day for some reason, and now I’ve seen your video. Good on you for sharing. I think it helps a lot of people understand that many many people who have their struggles with mental health live their lives just like everybody else…😊👍
