On top of being an excellent luthier, you have an amazing eye for interesting camera angles. This is a wonderful series.

KZbin, your algorithm sucks. Why doesn’t this have hundreds of thousands of views already? This should be reaching a wide audience, especially teenagers; instead of shoving them whatever garbage you’re trying to get them to watch. Creators like these should always be the top of the algorithm. This shows an incredibly talented young craftsperson and artist where our very young should watch to get inspired. This is just incredible.

We must know something that the public just doesn't and quite possibly couldn't understand. Our gain! Daisy talked about mental health while helping us or at least me with my own sanity in the crazy world. And I'm very thankful.

Well said Dan. I love to watch Daisy work. Hers skills are phenomenal, producing beautiful instruments whilst having her battles with health. Amazing young craftsperson

Because KZbin is BS! I would rather see Daisy making her guitars, and talking to us, than see that Dufus Jerkwad MrBeast, ANY DAY OF THE WEEK!! DaisyRULES! 💖💖

Because KZbin doesn't care about reaching people that it will influence in a good way, it only cares about filling up the pockets of world dominating little brats.

You clearly have extraordinary hand skills, a super-keen eye (to see the subtleties of the surface as the finishing proceeds), wonderful focus, concentration, and patience and a love of work. We can all buy the supplies and tools, and employ a sound process. So why do so few luthiers (or woodworkers in general) produce work that is jaw-droppingly beautiful and beautifully done, while almost all of the rest falls short? I think it comes down to skills and the ability to exercise them in a sustained way. And you have to love the work itself. Thank you for these videos, Daisy! They are informative and inspirational, and as your many followers often mention, your own professional identity and individual personality are so constructive, engaging, and generous. Much appreciated!

Hello Ms Tempest... I use private YT video to update my client on the cabinets I'm making for him. He loves it, but I tell you now, I appreciate how much work it takes on top of an already demanding load on headspace, not to mention the calendar. Your videos are great! I also see your work as a luthier. Wow! I also know about the many layers of behind the scenes work and study you invest. I admire all this.

Apart from being wonderful to watch, it is a bit reminiscent of attempts on TV in recent years to show content known as "slow TV", eg a train ride in Norway, bus ride in the Yorkshire Dales and on a canal barge, all filmed in real time over a couple of hours and aimed at countering the short attention span which seems to have taken over in the mass media these days. But is it even more reminiscent (for those of us old enough to remember it) of "The Potter's Wheel" on the BBC many decades ago when we simply watched the skill of a craftsman at work with some lovely background music, and, as we do for this, sit in awe of the skill, attention to detail and the simple beauty of wood..Looking forward to Part 3, Daisy!!

I'm a self-taught hobbyist, but for tapering braces, I love a spokeshave. Particularly with the blade a tiny bit asymmetrical so you can control the depth of cut by moving towards one side or the other. Not as good as a block plane for straight lines, but it makes scalloping a breeze.

Hello Teacher Daisy, it is a pleasure to greet you, I love your videos and I learn a lot from you, thank you very much for teaching with so much passion and love for lutheria, plus every job you do you clean, I am creating some handheld routers, a big one and another small one, the blades are going to make the Allen keys. As I like non-electric tools, I saw that several luthiers have made them. That's right, I love and really like non-electric tools. I try when I create non-electric tools that they are good wood. I created some mini blades to carve wood and metals, I burned them with fire and left them in used oil, continue your beautiful videos, I am glad that you have a new workshop that you are directing your projects and other things, I send you a big hug Salutti From Denia, Valencia. It's nice to watch how a charming girl makes a no less charming and complex musical instrument like a guitar, it is clear that the author puts her soul into the tree, mentally and spiritually merging with it in the process of making. So that after the musician extracts sounds that will make you think, touching the strings of the souls of his listeners. Good luck to you and success in your interesting and complex work. And take care of your fingers.

I just learned a new technique (20:54) for slimming down the cross of a tapa of a cajon that I have build. I only used a chisel so far. Will also use a block plane for my next cajon build. Also, connecting the two boards together, in the case of the cajon with a lath in between, I cannot use the technique at (6:39) so that remains quite a challenge. But I found Set 2xRALI press Evolution that may help to some degree. Thanx for such an interesting video.
