Lovely review! between luvias or stradic which one you prefer my friend ? i am between these two for seabass fishing
@jpfishingtacklenews195Ай бұрын
Thank you! Comparing those 2, I would use Luvias over the Stradic as I wouldn't need metal, heavier rigidity to Seabass fishing but would want light and sensitivity instead, and would use 4000-XH.

Hi how does the new luvias compare to the old 2020 model? Also did the 20 Luvias have a Duralumin gear? Thank you!
@jpfishingtacklenews195Ай бұрын
Hi, 2020 Luvias also has a duralumin gear, but not machine-cut, and 2024 model has machine-cut duralumin Tough Digi Gear. Mainly, I felt 2024 model enhanced for all the directions mainly required to light weight spinning reel, like reeling is slightly lighter and smoother, inertia is less, drag is smoother. I did not feel much difference of physical weight but castability is better too, as of the AIRDRIVE Design - the gravity point shifted towards the bottom.

Looks good but I really dont like Shallow Spools. Awesome video.
@jpfishingtacklenews195Ай бұрын
Thank you very much :) TBH I personally agreed 5+ years ago, more spooled line can be used for more versatile for sure. But especially for light weight reels such as Luvias, Airity, I personally think those are greately light, and sometimes I wanted to use lighter line but the matched line capacity reel sizes for the rod I have were a bit too light. Then thought to upsize the reel but then the line capacity was too big. I used to use mono line for pre-spooling but it was extra work and did not like it. Now I use the bigger size reel that match up with the rod, with shallow spool and spool the light line :) Honestly, I am wishing to have option to have normal spool or shallow spool though haha.

@jpfishingtacklenews195 US and Australian version always have big spools, inshore species are strong and love to take alot of line, but tbh it dont take anything higher than PE 2 to catch. I want a small light reel to have fun fighting them, and new braid line keeps getting thinner and stronger. New Saltiga x12 0.8 is 16lb and OceanDevil 0.8 is 19lb. I'll probably just get new Daiwa Sol MQ is the same as Luvia but US special :)
@jpfishingtacklenews195Ай бұрын
@@chrisd1164 I see.. Yeah I can see your point, in here sometimes the same, you can enjoy bream and flathead fishing with thinner lines, but can also hook mac tuna, little GT type species in the same area and can take a lot of lines. I also wished more variety of gear ratios for global models as I love H/XH gears and are not really available for global models.

This or Twin Power XD for salt water?
@jpfishingtacklenews1959 күн бұрын
I would use TP XD for saltwater, especially for heavy duty use like rock fishing, offshore fishing.
@lbcdayang1911Ай бұрын
Saltwater approve? Jigging also can?
@jpfishingtacklenews19529 күн бұрын
Basically yes, but not quite sure about durability as of the body material. Jigging puts larger load on the reel, so I would use metal body models like the Airity or Certate.
@raymundmonica888419 күн бұрын
So you are saying. If you have the money 💰 buy the airity. But if not buy the luvias?
@jpfishingtacklenews19519 күн бұрын
It also depends on how often you go fishing. As I mentioned in the movie, the feels of usage is not that different, but obviously, Airity has a little better quality with durable metal body. But if you don't mind about ZAION body and not really for heavy duty use, I would say Luvias can be good enough. Not for "if you have money", that's for "if you WANT TO spend that money", then of course, the more expensive one, the better it is :)

Help me choose luvias or certate?
@jpfishingtacklenews195Ай бұрын
Thank you very much for your comment :) Well it really depends how and for what type of fishing you suppose to use. Luvias is great reel, feels light and "enough durability" for light use as in the review. Certate is specially designed for tough use, so if you think to use for tough use, Certate can be better. If you use for light fishing, won't use frequently, Luvias could be enough, but if you also wish to have durability and can go to Certate, then Airity could be better as it's light and durable, at least more than Luvias. Hope this helps you :)

@@jpfishingtacklenews195 thank you very much, I'll be using it as a shore jigging reel so i think ill go with certate.
@jpfishingtacklenews195Ай бұрын
@@tabutog Ah yeah then Certate would be better choice, that's definitely a tougher use and need durability from that.
