Certate 24 4000xh vs vanquish 23 c5000xg for all purpose? lures between 15-60 gram. Spinning, top water and jigging
@jpfishingtacklenews195Күн бұрын
If you compare to those then I would select Certate. If the line capacity of PE1.5-200m is good enough then I would go with 4000-CXH, but might have used LT5000-CXH to have extra line capacity to stock PE2-300m for variety of fishing including offshore light jigging / casting for mackerel, snapper, mahi mahi type of species, with mono-line pre-spooled.

Fair enough, I can understand that for sure. Well let's see how it can be differed from the original roller oscillation when it's out :)
@debeerbos4 күн бұрын
For use with 35-40 gram plugs (duel monster shot for example) would this be good in 4000/5000 size or the new TP FE?
@jpfishingtacklenews195Күн бұрын
Technically both can handle the lure, therefore it will all depends on what type / size of species you target, and/or the rod weight balance. If you use the new reel for bigger size fish I would use SW model, but could be around middle size like 50cm, for Snapper, Bluefish, Trevally (not GT), mackerel etc then I would use the normal TP.
@buffdoc464 күн бұрын
How do you think it compares to the Certate, not the SW version
@jpfishingtacklenews1954 күн бұрын
Those are totally different, Certate is heavier but more rigid for sure, it is more for tough use and/or for bigger species. Luvias is one rank lower reel with all ZAION carbon material, mainly for lighter use. If you use Luvias after Certate the spinning and its weight are really light, and senesitive, but not quite tough like Certate, less retrieve torque and possibly less durability.

@jpfishingtacklenews1954 күн бұрын
I have only use Limited once, but to me, XR is a little harder than Limited, but a little harder to cast than Limited too. XR is good enough rod to be used for most of anglers I believe, but Limited is surely much nicer, the cast is easier, more sensitive, bends well on fighting but does not mean it's weak, the butt is powerful and can lift up fish really well.

I do not think Shimano is using CI4+. That carbon graphite should be twice as strong as high density graphite and it does not feel that way at all. I honestly think Shimano is using a similar low density graphite that Daiwa uses in their LT line. It’s much lighter but much weaker.
@jslcharger17 күн бұрын

Nice review, thank you. What would be the difference in usage between 4000 lt Certate and 4000 sw certate? Is it a big difference?
@jpfishingtacklenews19515 күн бұрын
Thank you :) Basically, SW Version's the body is thicker and heavier, the gear is also slightly larger and thicker, the AirDrive Rotor is also stronger and more rigid over the LT models. Especially the 4000 size LT model only has C = Compact model which has 3000 size body + 4000 size spool, so SW 4000 is much bigger and more rigid but heavier.

@DNOYPIANGLER15 күн бұрын
@bigmil1 i have the saltiga and stella. I am a shimano and daiwa user. No, saltiga is not above stella, imo they are both equal in performance. There are more stella owners than saltiga iin my place coz the former is easy and cheaper to maintain than the saltiga. Daiwa has limited service centers. The magseal, so expensive. Parts of stella are readily available. This is how stella outperforms saltiga.

@@bigmil1 Honestly, I have no info yet about the stella's next upgrade or if they will release it on 2025. But let's see as the rivalry between these two is intense. @jpfishingtacklenews19522 күн бұрын
If you meant which one would I buy from those, then I would say it really depends. The structure and schematic is quite similar, but obviously different, TwinPower is more for powerful, tough and high durability, and the Vanquish is more for light, sensitive use. So, if I would use for tough use like jigging, offshore light fishing, I would select TwinPower. Or if that's for light game, and/or medium game fishing but you need to catch information from under the water as much as possible, I would use Vanquish. If you meant "would you buy those if you were just normal user" then I would still say yes, I've been using them since I purchased and I love them, personally.

@jpfishingtacklenews19527 күн бұрын
Hi, it basically depends what you need for the new reel. If you don't literally need toughness, strength and not for heavy duty, Luvias will do the job perfectly. Otherwise, Certate. Personally, I wouldn't use Certate for fishing with LT2500 size as I wouldn't need such strength and toughness, and I would select either Luvias or Airity, depends on the budget.
