Hi. The Diawa service..is the best. The Van stal seems to be built the toughest. The only snag on the Stella and the Diawa is the plastic part at the bottom..(when a reel is dropped... this seems to be the placece it lands first and cracks..and ordering that part is a nightmare) i think because it's considered a cosmetic part ...rather than an essential part. Got to love Penn ..that part is metal on the Spinn Fsher..and other Penn reels that are significantly cheaper .. last long ..and can be self serviced.

Alan Hawk is the only guy I trust for spinning reviews. Learn what how to not create a strengthen spool lip. Copy Daiwa and Shimano reel designs and give no credit. Make the reel where it will become obsolete in 5 years because you can. But my multiply can do all this and still land a 300kg shark for one third the price. The most important factor when it comes to fishing reels is the service that the company offers after you purchase the reel. I am not going to wait 3 to 6 months for a single part.

You mean increased 12% and 25% respectfully, and how can it be a 'monocoque"? it its made of the body AND round screw in plate. That's TWO parts, not one...marketing rubbish...it came out on the Saltiga BJ 3500 and 4000 already. Not new. Very nice but stop lying, not all fisherman are dummies...

Are these saltigas anodised? I had two of the last models and they are painted not anodised. The paint starts flaking off after a couple of days fishing. Absolute rubbish
