Daiwa ultralight spinning rod & reel VS big NASTY pickerels O MY!

Fishing with my diawa 5ft presso ultralight spinning rod and Laguna daiwa ultralight spinning reel spooled up with 4lb p line. What a battle i had fun fishing with this set up for these aggressive pickerels!

I discovered a new paddle tail swim bait that is absolutely nailing it for me it’s by zman all white 4 inches. I paired it with a 1/4 jig head. I was using a medium action rod. This though look really fun! You caught some nice slime pickles man and on a ultra light!? Makes it that much more fun.

If they are anything like pike, it can be awfully tough to get the hook set with too light of a rod. Their mouths are just too hard. Also, if they are anything like pike you should try a silver 1/2 oz Williams spoon, switch out the treble with a 3/0 single hook and thread on a 3" white Mr Twister grub. Fairly weedless and it runs shallow at pretty slow speeds, shows up good in most water conditions but still quite natural.
