---- About the Pattern ----
Daiyu is a pocket-sized baby dragon amigurumi pattern. It fits snugly in your palm and is the perfect birthday gift or holiday gift for any dragon lover or fantasy creature enthusiast. Daiyu’s name is Chinese and means “generation” and “jade”, and was designed for the 2024 Lunar New Year of the Dragon!
The PDF pattern includes photo references to guide you through the doll making process, links to the complete step-by-step video tutorial, and a printable coloring sheet to help you plan out your dragon’s colors. It also has two different ear options.

Height: 4.5 inches (11.5cm)
LEVEL
★★☆☆☆ Familiar beginner. Requires familiarity with stitches used (below), changing yarn colors, attaching yarn, and sewing pieces together.
STITCHES & TECHNIQUES USED (US TERMINOLOGY)
FO = fasten off
YO = yarn over
sk = skip (a stitch)
ch = chain
sl st = slip stitch
sc = single crochet
inc = increase (insert 2 sc in same st)
dec = decrease (sc 2 sts together)
dc = double crochet
dc-inc = double crochet increase (insert 2 dc in the same st)
BLO = back loops only

Medium weight yarn in 3 colors

Maybe I just missed it but.. how did you do the webbed ears with the secondary color? (it's shown on the blue dragon you show us in the assembly video)

The webbed ears version are available in the PDF pattern (link in description box)! :) The free version here shows the no-sew ears only.

while you were making the ears, could you show how to did the ears of the dragon in the thumbnail?, i see that the one in the thumb nail has two colors and in the video its one, i just wanted to know how you did that❤❤

Hi! The webbed ears version (the one with two colors that you see in the thumbnail) is only available in the paid pDF pattern! Sorry if that wasn't clear! The free version here includes instructions on doing the ears in one color, attached to the head wtihout sewing. What size hook n yarn please! Could you make this with bulky yarn

I used a 2.75mm hook and medium weight yarn! You can use bulky weight yarn adn a larger hook :) It'll make a bigger dragon!

Can it sit straight?

You can sew its limbs and tail on in a way to make it sit straight! The way I have it sewn on doesn't allow my dragon to sit, but rather, lay down on its back.
