---- About the Pattern ----
Daiyu is a pocket-sized baby dragon amigurumi pattern. It fits snugly in your palm and is the perfect birthday gift or holiday gift for any dragon lover or fantasy creature enthusiast. Daiyu’s name is Chinese and means “generation” and “jade”, and was designed for the 2024 Lunar New Year of the Dragon!
The PDF pattern includes photo references to guide you through the doll making process, links to the complete step-by-step video tutorial, and a printable coloring sheet to help you plan out your dragon’s colors. It also has two different ear options.

Height: 4.5 inches (11.5cm)
LEVEL
★★☆☆☆ Familiar beginner. Requires familiarity with stitches used (below), changing yarn colors, attaching yarn, and sewing pieces together.
STITCHES & TECHNIQUES USED (US TERMINOLOGY)
FO = fasten off
YO = yarn over
sk = skip (a stitch)
ch = chain
sl st = slip stitch
sc = single crochet
inc = increase (insert 2 sc in same st)
dec = decrease (sc 2 sts together)
dc = double crochet
dc-inc = double crochet increase (insert 2 dc in the same st)
BLO = back loops only

Thanx for the pattern! Can't wait to finish it! 🥰It's so gorgeous!!!! 🤗 For those who struggel at the wings-part: look very closely to the video and what she is saying and crocheting. The written pattern in the video has some mistakes at the wings-part.

​@@SweetSoftiesa bit late but there's also the time where you switch from c2 to c1 where you /and the pattern/ both say to turn, but you don't turn in the video, and if someone turns they'll be crocheting the wrong direction- along the bottom of the wings, not the top

Do you put two sc or dc in the center of the top edging? The writing says dc but you say and show sc so just wanted to confirm.

Oops, NOT dc!! You can do one or two sc in the center. :) Sorry about that!

I was trying to do the wings but the yarn I’m using is a bit bigger than the yarn you are. The pattern has worked for everything but the wings I just can’t get them to look right. They are full of big holes :( is there something I could do to fix that? Or would I have to use smaller yarn?

Try using a smaller hook perhaps? That might help!

Just one! :) The wings is one piece and you'll sew the center to the back of the dragon later!
