I think you are just an awesome young man ! First, yes indeed some dogs sleep just like that . Often labradors and many other purebred and mixed breed pups do too. It is a sign that they trust you completely. Dogs who are skittish or fearful will not expose their underbellies that way. So hug those pups all the time. They adore you. Lola is a little too fearless when it comes to her climbing upstairs ! It is so exciting to see the floor going down with the help of your guys. Can't wait to see the them finished. It's going to be gorgeous. Does it get cold enough in the winter for you to need insulation? If so, how will you do that? The house is really coming together. Its coming together, you should have a floor over the next few days. You really need to plan more. Why don't you split up and get all the beams painted black while the others bring up the rest of the boards. Then you will have everything organised for the finishing of the floor. When dogs are happy they lay on their backs similarly to Lola. If you look at her face her teeth will be exposed in a way that resembles a blissful smile. My German Shepherd has done this since I brought him home. Did a little research to learn it’s an expression of happiness. Contentment. Joy is how my guy looks. House looks amazing. I’m in process of renovating a property from 1900. Vine ya in design in the go. Mistakes. Bliss when a project is finished. Imperfections and all ❤

I would cover the new water source pool to discourage animals from using it and introducing parasites before it gets to your holding tanks. Maybe make a separate pool area downhill from your source pool or up at the top to be filled from the tanks, but in a way so you can keep your supply as clean as possible. You are doing such an amazing job! It makes me want to start a project!

You are doing great, that said you cannot have your floor be your 1-inch ceiling too, very bad idea, it has so many possible issues, no fire barrier, no noise dampening, no structure, and stability, and no insulation. Respectfully that's why sometimes our Western building codes account for something -Be safe and do it right once ©

If you keep the ceiling beams exposed you won’t be able to have ceiling lights. It might look good aesthetically but it might be impractical.

Some dogs do sleep like that my husky sleeps like that. One to keep cool for their belly and the other Lola is comfortable in her bed and fully trust you. You all are are so knowledgeable in what you all do. The house is beginning to take shape. and it looks great. Stay safe and blessings

You should use a pully to take up the floor sheets. It will reduce the force needed to take pull up the sheets by reducing the distance they travel. The more laps up and down the rope goes the easier it will be. If you don't have a pully you can use a metal rod at the top and pul them up from bellow.

Wouldn't be easy paint the metal beams on sides first then put down the boards. Since you wanted them black it be harder paint up and have tape off white boards not get black on them. The bottom steal beam be easy do just take roller if can't reach down. I not builder but I can tell your get excited and my be making harder on yourself .
