Are you serious!? Lol. At 1 point they had a the best O-Line and best running back in the league. They had top receivers, Dez, Now CD, top tight end in Witten. O-line was littered with hall of famers, defense under Romo was horrible but it's been better for Dak. You sound really ignorant.
@WellWhyNot-lj8uf14 күн бұрын
@ lol you sound ignorant. What top receivers? They only had Dez and he was past his prime. Written was old and slow. I’ll give you top Oline his rookie year but they lost their center to autoimmune disease, Rt to FA and their LG as well early in his career. Also stats don’t tell the full story the defense has not been as good as the numbers said they were. Against the best teams the defense never could stop the run nor could they force TOs. Their ranking if you only considered their games against the best teams would have been bottom 5 as evidenced by this year since the schedule this season was loaded with top of the league teams. Romo himself only got a good roster towards the end of his tenure but didn’t play many games with the roster outside of 2014 due to injuries
@Yeah.ItsMe.14 күн бұрын
@@WellWhyNot-lj8uf They built their roster through the draft and they drafted great towards Romos end, which basically means they built a team for him. So you're OG comment is untrue. They did build a team for Romo, through the draft. And Dak inherited that team. Obviously they didn't do enough on defense but they took the same approach, meaning only drafting guys. They have their formula but they need to sign and trade players too. They're too comfortable just drafting. But to say they never built a team is false.

Dak is better than Cooper Rush, but he's not good. He's has "avengers" his whole career with just two or three seasons where the roster--Dak excluded--was upper middle instead of top 5. When Zeke was leading the league in rush yards, Dak had the best run-game, probably best running back, best offensive line, excellent receiving weapons, and a pretty good defense. When the quality of the team and especially the offense around Dak has been a little lower, his stats have plummeted. In one of his seasons a couple years ago, he was putting up record numbers in the second halves of games. Why? Because in the second halves, the Cowboys were down by two scores and the opponents were in prevent defense. To this day, Dak is significantly better when its a two score game. More than any other QB in the league. He looks like two different guys. The first problem people--even experts--have with evaluating quarterbacks is the feel they have to find a definitive answer to how good they are and especially how good they are compared to each other when there honestly isn't enough evidence to know for sure. If it was easy, front offices would get it right more often. The second problem is people put too much on the quarterback's shoulders and not enough of the situation the quarterback is in. Dak wasn't successful because he's good, he was successful because he had one of the most stacked offenses in football, and pretty good playcalling/coaching. I don't think Dak is better than Trevor Lawrence--not that I think Lawrence is great--but what I know is we won't really know until the Cowboys and Jags trade Dak and Trevor straight up. Let's see how well Dak does on the Jags. Let's see what Trevor can do with the 'Boys. What I want Brou to admit is Baker is better than Dak and always has been.

I guess Jerry J has some good decisions, but not now. And the circus/surreal atmosphere the players are forced to practice and play games seems awful.

I love how all these media personalities tell all the organizations sign all these players for big contracts. And then it blows up in the face of the team and none of the media personalities take ownership that they were promoting this And we're dead wrong. This season Prescott has not been worth the money love has not been worth the money tua has not been worth the money Lawrence has not been worth the money. Only Jared Goff that signed in the off-season has been worth the money. And I still believe he's more of a product of Ben Johnson's offense than him actually being good.

Trade Dak for Caleb Williams

Its crazy to me that people have looked at Dak like he was a 1st round pick or a top 10 pick but forget he was drafted in the 4th round. Zeke was the top 5 pick they used that season. Dak being a 4th round QB that has had the career that he has had already is an outlier. He had a horrific ankle injury and has still shown to be able to be an MVP candidate. If Dak was on a more professional franchise or one that just built better teams, his stats would be MUCH better.

Parsons is just calling a spade, a spade. I respect him because he wants to win, and McCarthy just isn't whom Jerry Jones WANTS him to be... A winner when it counts the most.

I don’t think these guys realize how much cap space the Cowboys will have for the next two years. Restructures and Post June cuts and signing Micah early will have the cowboys well over 100 million in cap space.

Not making the final four is not an indictment on Jerry Jones. especially when they’ve been 12-5 3 years in a row which is the most wins over that time. that’s an indictment on Dak being awful in the playoffs. So for Brou to act like that’s an organizational issue vs a player can’t get it done issue is ridiculous

Love that LAST take. Comment on your podcast on ANYTHING but NFL. The weather, the food you like, NBA, WNBA, tennis (he didn't say all these, but the meaning's the same). Actually the contracts should include a clause for tiny limits on free speech. Corporations will limit comment with the solution being discharge from employment.

This ridiculous critique of DAK prescott is just silly, I mean this guy takes so much heat from people, he is a solid QB period, professsional, works hard, a team guy

I don’t know if it’s as much the running game, but offensive line production. At least last year they blocked well enough to make the running backs middle of the pack or so.

Dallas just not worth talking about. They are not relevant. Media needs to understand that most football fans don't care , heck the owner really doesn't care. He just needs to keep getting his fix by controlling things.

The demand for quarterbacks is too high and the supply is too low. That’s why bottom 10 WB’s make top of the market money.
