Car: STÉPHANE PETERHANSEL / PAULO FIUZA (BAHRAIN JCW X-RAID TEAM) won the stage Wadi Al-Dawasir / Haradh in front of NASSER AL-ATTIYAH / MATTHIEU BAUMEL (TOYOTA GAZOO RACING) and YASIR SEAIDAN / KUZMICH ALEXY (RACE WORLD TEAM). CARLOS SAINZ / LUCAS CRUZ (BAHRAIN JCW X-RAID TEAM) is in the lead of the overall.
SSV: BLADE HILDEBRAND / FRANCOIS CAZALET (RED BULL OFF-ROAD TEAM USA) won the stage Wadi Al-Dawasir / Haradh in front of MITCHELL GUTHRIE / OLA FLOENE (RED BULL OFF-ROAD TEAM USA) and CASEY CURRIE / SEAN BERRIMAN (MONSTER ENERGY CAN-AM). CASEY CURRIE / SEAN BERRIMAN (MONSTER ENERGY CAN-AM) is in the lead of the overall.
With this long stage, the Dakar prepares to enter the “Empty Quarter”. Suspension too hard? Bull! The BF's in the smaller 4x4 sizes were absolutely terrible this year. Since when is it normal to have 3+ punctures per vehicle? The buggies with their larger 37' tires and different compound don't suffer the same problem.

Yeah, the buggies have an overall advantage on this Dakar: weight, suspension, tyres, tyre pressure adjustment from the cockpit, higher top speed (too much flat sections this year)
